ISAAK Drives Forward With New Single "Rotten"

On “Super Fiend” the band said: “Inspired by the bleakness of the 2000AD comic universe, the sound of slipknot and the way our society is moving: we wrote this song because we want to be left alone, free from fake friends and the posturing that can plague the relationships around us. It’s nice to be nice, but it’s also nice sometimes to just be. With the human experience comes a spectrum of emotions. Anger is energy, suck it up and feel how you feel.”

GRAMMY-Nominated Singer/Songwriter Leon Thomas Gets Vulnerable on New Single “Breaking Point”

Speaking on the meaning behind the song, he shares, “When we’re at a crossroads, it’s important to have the courage to follow the path that needs to be taken despite the flood of conflicting emotions. Love is fragile, and sometimes nourishing a relationship is the toughest challenge.”

“It has only been in recent years that I have come to embrace Christmas as a ritualistic celebration of love, having spent much of my teenage hood with a repulsed attitude towards its capitalistic, consumerist and religious ploys. I have come to adore the tacky aesthetics and festivities in a childlike way. I wanted to make a Maori-ana Christmas song, quite purely for the entertainment and humour I find in this niche ritual. I believe in love”. — Erny Belle
