Life gets boring from time to time. The peace can feel comforting to some people. Others of us prefer the adrenaline rush of more exciting activities. Whether you want to push yourself to new limits or continue your love of excitement, try these 4 intense activities for thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies.
Mountain Biking
Add some speed to your experience when exploring the mountains by taking the trail on your mountain bike. You’ll enjoy the ability to travel around the mountains quickly. Of course, going uphill will present a, well, uphill battle. Expect to feel it in your thighs at this point. While biking uphill may generate the most strenuous part of the experience, going downhill give you your adrenalin rush. You will need to control your bike as it travels at unexpectedly fast speeds down a steep hill.
Skydiving
Fall out of a plane at tens of thousands of feet in the air. Your stomach will feel like it’s falling as you get the best views you will ever experience in your life. After what seems like forever of free falling, you will pull a parachute to assist you the rest of the way. While many people feel too afraid to skydive, it’s an experience you will take with you for the rest of your life. Also, professionals will go with you during your first couple of trips to keep you safe.
Spelunking
If mountains and planes aren’t your things, move underground with spelunking. Spelunking, or cave-diving, takes you underground to see the marvels that live beneath our feet every day. The temperatures may get cold, and you may run into a spider or a bat, but the beauty of the crystals will take your breath away. You can find caves all throughout the United States, but especially in Kentucky. You can also find underwater caves to explore, although that experience adds the additional element of staying underwater for long periods of time.
White Water Rafting
If you don’t mind getting a little bit wet during your adventure, try white water rafting. You and a group of friends (or strangers) will travel down a river with rapids or extreme waves. You will try to control your raft to the best of your ability but ultimately let the river be your guide. Start with a beginner’s route and build up to more advanced routes.
Life is short. Enjoy it while you can with these 4 intense activities for thrill seekers and adrenelin junkies.
