REDREIGNER – single “Myst” from EP “Redreigner”
Formed in late 2020 by brothers Constantine and Petros Jajas, Redreigner began as a nameless Death Metal project with a goal of finishing a series of recordings by the end of 2021. Chris Dovas was invited to guest on drums and the project quickly became something more. Furious vocals and bass were the last pieces of the puzzle, roles that were taken up by Paschalis Christofilos and Anastasis Karamichalis. The project became a band and thus, Redreigner were born. By December 2021 they finished recording and their first EP was released.

Distributed by OneRPM, Blue Wall finds Noah lyrically turning his musings on family into vulnerable songs that resonate with fans and critics alike. All 12 tracks featured on Blue Wall were written or co-written by Guthrie and collectively encapsulate his intentions behind the record. In advance of the album release, Noah dropped two singles, “Only Light I Need” and “Wishing I Was Wrong.” His lead single, “Only Light I Need,” centered itself around the idea of reflecting on the important things in life. An acoustic version of the track was also released. On the song, Leigh shares: “‘No Poetry’ came out of feeling frustrated with the ways people romanticize struggle. Especially as artists, sometimes there’s this idea that without suffering your art has no meaning and conversely that having suffered gives your art inherent meaning–or worse, financial value. The stories we tell ourselves about how our struggles made us stronger are necessary because they help us cope with trauma, but that doesn’t mean trauma is ever a good thing. The song is me saying just having survived is enough.”
