Band founder Jon Pyres comments:
“We’re very happy to finally release the first single of the new album, admittedly a very special track for us. It was an interesting time for the band and the new material resulted in a far more sinister manner than the debut EP.”

The band comments:
“‘Lowdown’ sounds like a high speed car chase on a back country road. Mostly because we recorded it drunk on bourbon in the back of a box truck barreling down Pine Swamp Rd with no driver… in one take. Sounds pretty incredible, we know. But it’s just another day in the life for Scattered Hamlet.”

JUNCTION 28 REVEALS VIDEO FOR BRAND NEW, MESMERIC NEW SINGLE “EDGE OF HATRED”!
Following from the previous releases (the zestful “Suffocate” and the charging “Don’t Say”) of the band’s most recent, debut EP – “Before You Drown” – alternative outfit Junction 28 now presents video for the immersive “Edge Of Hatred”! Showcasing a softer and more melodic approach, the track brings together dense, interwoven layers of synthesizers, pianos, and clean guitars into an evocative canvas of sound. This allows the listener to connect to the heightened emotionality of the song, before the track leads inevitably to an explosive crescendo. Compared to the band’s previous releases, “Edge Of Hatred” is very much a singular song, as the achieved atmosphere is very soft and delicate, which results in a complex and emotional outcome, with the song covering many specific topics, such as trauma and people’s darkest thoughts.
