Elias unveils hotly-anticipated new album Holy, Endlessly Sad, Love

Brave, honest and open, Holy, Endlessly Sad, Love is to all intents and purposes a classic soul record, heralding a new approach that stands in stark contrast to the trademark ‘big sound’ that has characterised Elias’ career to date. The album’s first single, the gentle and reflective ‘My Kind of Fire’, suggests that the Swedish artist has stepped back to take control of a creative situation that perhaps threatened to get out of hand. Further singles come in the form of ‘My Hope’, which pairs Elias’ impassioned vocals with sparse instrumentation before making way for a powerful crescendo, ‘Hold It Out’, a heart-on-sleeve ballad punctuated by glorious piano stabs and ‘Let Me Be The One’ captures the underlying spirit of the album perfectly. Meanwhile Elias’ most recent single ‘I’ve Been Waiting’ provides the album’s most angelic moments, an energy that is further accentuated by the accompanying official video, where he writhes and dances in front of a pure white background.

Nneka unveils emotional new single ‘With You’

Pairing modern production with Nneka’s delicate vocals, ‘With You’ is an emotion-driven ballad with love and loss at its heart. KALANDRA Reveal “With You (Unplugged)” Video!

Produced by her frequent collaborator Pink Slip, “sweet and sour” is a hypnotic introduction to Moore’s wildly unpredictable sound: stark yet explosive, ethereal yet feverish. Meanwhile, its lyrics speak to the sheer power of embracing your own complexity. “This song is a perfect statement of who I am as a person,” says Moore, who’s now based in Los Angeles. “For the most part I’m a total angel and super-sweet, but the second you mess with me or any of my friends, that’s all over. It’s kind of a warning to everyone, telling them to be careful and tread lightly, or else they’ll get the sour.”

GREYBORN: watch “After Dark” video on The Obelisk!

French stoner rock newcomers GREYBORN (with Mama’s Gun and Blackbird Hill members) share their catchy debut single with the “After Dark” video, premiering exclusively on The Obelisk. The band will release their debut EP in the winter of 2022, with more details to be revealed soon.

The story of GREYBORN begins in this small interval between light and darkness, somewhere in the cold and mineral city of Limoges. The hopes of a hedonistic generation get shattered as they come up against the programmed decline of our civilization. Greyborn is the messenger of this mass disenchantment, providing its corrosive, disturbing, but highly hip-swaying soundtrack. Their decadent brand of heavy rock feeds in the world’s darkest corners and follows its own rules, and you won’t help but get struck by its lyricism, taking the form of a both hopeless and poetic political satire.
