Globally-acclaimed singer/songwriter Charlotte Cardin has announced a deluxe edition of her debut album Phoenix, preceded today by the new single, “Scorpio Season,” produced by Stint (Demi Lovato, Kesha, Panic! Today, Mexican singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Julian Lamadrid debuts his new single, “Teenager,” out on Arista Records. Arriving on the heels of recent singles like “15 Minutes” and “One More Trip,” “Teenager” is a glistening indie-pop track that reflects on the transitional period between childhood and adulthood.
“It’s a song about just wanting to feel alive,” says NYC solo artist and electrifying performer Nick Vivid about his new hallucinogenic new synth-y, psychedelica single, “I Wanna Reign Again,” from his upcoming LP No More Secrets (release date: November 12, 2021 via MegaPlatinum Records). The track is about the idea that he, like most people after all the Covid lockdowns and restrictions, just wants to “get back out there and live again. I get all of the frustration out there. I feel for people who don’t have the patience or tolerance. I barely have it myself sometimes, but I try to balance that out with some faith that everything is going to work out for the best eventually if I get out of my own way and let things happen. That’s where the line ‘Help me get out of the way’ comes from – to stop trying so hard.”

DIJON SHARES NEW SONG “RODEO CLOWN”
Last week, Dijon announced Absolutely by sharing the release date and a live performance of the opening track. The visceral performance of “Big Mike’s” showcased the passion and atmosphere of the Absolutely recording process. Dijon released the album’s first single “Many Times” in September, which arrived with a frantic music video with a warped view behind the improvisational creation of the album. Absolutely was recorded over the course of a few fervent weeks whilst in tight confines with a close-knit group of collaborators and friends. The album channels the unfettered emotion of Dijon’s live show, which has become a “you had to be there” topic of conversation in the music community with his performance entrancing any witnesses over the last several years.

The album clocks in at over an hour spread across nine tracks, the first single being the introductory track “Chronwall Neanderthal”. The song title came about while heading to a gig and passing Cornwall. The band started spitballing titles for a song that would debut that night, and Cornwall became Chronwall which would eventually become the mountain range depicted on the album cover. As the opening track, it is the most direct and hard-hitting song on the album and it sets the tone for the remainder of the album. Alex Kolo shares debut single “Like the Boys”
Today, New Jersey native Alex Kolo is thrilled to share her fiery, debut single, “Like The Boys.” The feminist anthem marks the talented eighteen year-old singer’s first foray into the world of pop music. Speaking on the origins of the track, Kolo writes: “‘Like The Boys’ is a pop song written to bring awareness to the gender inequality issues that women still face in 2021. I was sitting in my basement with my best friend, and we were talking about gender inequality. At that point, ideas for lyrics flooded my head and I ran to get my computer and started typing. It actually only took me about 30 minutes to write the entire song. I recorded ‘Like the Boys’ in June of 2021. I worked with Kim Yarson (Bonnie Dog Productions) in creating the song, which features guitar work by Joseph Jackubicki.”
