Nick Vivid Releases Hallucinogenic New Single “I Wanna Reign Again,” No More Secrets LP out November 12

“It’s a song about just wanting to feel alive,” says NYC solo artist and electrifying performer Nick Vivid about his new hallucinogenic new synth-y, psychedelica single, “I Wanna Reign Again,” from his upcoming LP No More Secrets (release date: November 12, 2021 via MegaPlatinum Records). The track is about the idea that he, like most people after all the Covid lockdowns and restrictions, just wants to “get back out there and live again. I get all of the frustration out there. I feel for people who don’t have the patience or tolerance. I barely have it myself sometimes, but I try to balance that out with some faith that everything is going to work out for the best eventually if I get out of my own way and let things happen. That’s where the line ‘Help me get out of the way’ comes from – to stop trying so hard.”

Last week, Dijon announced Absolutely by sharing the release date and a live performance of the opening track. The visceral performance of “Big Mike’s” showcased the passion and atmosphere of the Absolutely recording process. Dijon released the album’s first single “Many Times” in September, which arrived with a frantic music video with a warped view behind the improvisational creation of the album. Absolutely was recorded over the course of a few fervent weeks whilst in tight confines with a close-knit group of collaborators and friends. The album channels the unfettered emotion of Dijon’s live show, which has become a “you had to be there” topic of conversation in the music community with his performance entrancing any witnesses over the last several years.

Sun Below Presents A Fuzzy Stoner Soundscape In “Chronwall Neanderthal” Off Upcoming Album

The album clocks in at over an hour spread across nine tracks, the first single being the introductory track “Chronwall Neanderthal”. The song title came about while heading to a gig and passing Cornwall. The band started spitballing titles for a song that would debut that night, and Cornwall became Chronwall which would eventually become the mountain range depicted on the album cover. As the opening track, it is the most direct and hard-hitting song on the album and it sets the tone for the remainder of the album. Sun Below explains the concept behind this part of the album’s story:

Today, the Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter, Ian Isiah, returns with his new song “SEE YOU” via Chromeo’s label Juliet Records. “SEE YOU” is his most open and vulnerable work yet. When asked to describe in his own words what “SEE YOU” is about, Ian simply said: “SELF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.” The track accentuates Isiah’s deep understanding of human nature and emotions through his songwriting. Over nothing but a guitar backdrop, his voice soars. As he evokes a fleeting relationship, Ian poignantly emphasizes compassion and healing over pain and fury. Isiah previewed the song earlier this month with a live rendition on COLORS.

Alex Kolo shares debut single “Like the Boys”

Today, New Jersey native Alex Kolo is thrilled to share her fiery, debut single, “Like The Boys.” The feminist anthem marks the talented eighteen year-old singer’s first foray into the world of pop music. Speaking on the origins of the track, Kolo writes: “‘Like The Boys’ is a pop song written to bring awareness to the gender inequality issues that women still face in 2021. I was sitting in my basement with my best friend, and we were talking about gender inequality. At that point, ideas for lyrics flooded my head and I ran to get my computer and started typing. It actually only took me about 30 minutes to write the entire song. I recorded ‘Like the Boys’ in June of 2021. I worked with Kim Yarson (Bonnie Dog Productions) in creating the song, which features guitar work by Joseph Jackubicki.”

Together Pangea’s New Album ‘DYE’ Out Today; Listen Now

Today, Together Pangea shares their new album DYE, an upbeat, undeniable collection of hooks, anthems, and power-pop garage-rock catchiness. Inspired by crowd reaction to certain songs the band played at live shows in 2019, primary songwriter William Keegan made a conscious effort to consider the band’s audience with the aim of penning more sing-along choruses and a return to the emotional energy, vulnerability, and heaviness of the band’s well-loved 2014 album, Badillac. In fact, he calls DYE an amalgam of the band’s last three records: the inward-looking and self-pleasing experimentation of 2017’s Bulls and Roosters, the frantic and scream-y Badillac with its inspiration from emotionally raw grunge, and the 50’s pop-heavy 2011 album Living Dummy.

The seven-track project places her show-stopping vocals, eloquent songwriting, and undeniable energy directly in the spotlight. It boasts international hits “Good Without,” “Dumb Love,” and the recent single “24/5.” Prior to release, these fan and critical favorites have already eclipsed 250 million streams and counting. Meanwhile, “Good Without” and “Dumb Love” simultaneously occupied spots in the Top 15 on the UK Singles Chart, which notably cemented Mimi Webb as “the first UK female artist, since Dua Lipa in 2017, to land two singles in the UK Top 15 before the release of her debut album.”

ICYMI: New single from Silvering, “Same Side,” OUT NOW!

“Though Shalom Toy captures this exact frustration on “Same Side,” her latest single as Silvering, she explores these ideas with impressive grace—the track sounds vaguely lenient on Radiohead or even Coldplay in the same way IAN SWEET’s music is, while Toy’s longing vocals recall those of Soccer Mommy. All of which is written out in an intentionally honest light, with Toy’s heartfelt lyrics pairing well with dramatic string arrangements courtesy of Collin Dupree.” – FLOOD
