SIREN’S RAIN Stream New Album Rise Forth

The new album from epic folk metal outfit SIREN’S RAIN is streaming now at Metal Underground, GBHBL and Big Music Geek.

The band comments:

“Siren’s Rain is excited to announce the release of our first full-length album, Rise Forth. This work revisits the harp and mandolin and introduces the nyckelharpa to the band’s instrumentation. This album delves into the themes of abandonment, betrayal, hope, despair and resilience. Heavier, faster and galloping, this work showcases the band’s musical growth and exploration of the barriers of aggression.”

Riley Owens’s Refreshing New Single, “Camino”

Catchy grooves paired with buoyant melodies make this song an infectious hit.

BELUSHI SPEED BALL Release New Video

BELUSHI SPEED BALL have released a video for their track “We’re Not Thrashers, We’re Hipster Posers”. The song is from Stella 1 and Stella 2 which was released in January.

The band commented “Gatekeeping invariably exists within every music scene, and the less a band fits the scene’s unspoken criteria, the more closed doors it encounters. The music video then pokes fun at what it often takes to open a door – at a choice that many bands make to achieve some perceived level of success. Specifically, Belushi Speed Ball endures a pact that sacrifices their identity in exchange for an ambiguous promise of popularity, a deal that is not made with the Devil, but rather with a collective of homogenized copycats.”

Bambara (Wharf Cat) announce mini LP Love On My Mind/Share “Mythic Love” (feat. Bria of Orville Peck’s band/Frigs)

If the start of the breakthrough for Bambara was the radically reimagined sound of 2018’s Shadow On Everything (dubbed by NPR a “western gothic opus”), then the moment it truly arrived was on the cinematically riotous noir-punk of 2020’s Stray. In the UK, buoyed by the enthusiasm of 6Music DJ Steve Lamacq (who called the band, “one of his favourite discoveries of the year”), the band rose sharply, immediately selling out shows across the country. Meanwhile, back in their native US, KEXP’s John Richards echoed the same sentiment. Things were set. In fact, tickets had just gone on sale for their biggest show to date, a 1500 cap headliner at London’s Electric Ballroom.

FPA Debuts New Single/Video “Princess Wiko” via FLOOD Magazine Feature, Title Track of New 37d03d LP Out 11/5

FPA—the multifaceted artist Frances Priya Anczarski—today released “Princess Wiko,” the devastating title track of her new album out November 5th, 2021, via 37d03d. “This song is the middle of a journey for our Princess. Here we see her grieving over the memory of a past love and foolishly placing her own worth into the hands of someone who has forgotten her,” explains FPA. “She’s singing ‘I want you for eternity, don’t care if you’re not meant for me; I’ll never say your name in peace, will it keep on haunting me?’ It’s a feeling of eternal desperation…one of rejection, of course, and helplessness. Awaiting validation from an external source is always suffering; especially from a man, in a man’s world.”
