Many of us first discover music through our earth-side families, leaning in to the influences gifted to them by association. Whether it’s classic rock on the car radio or retro pop on the boombox by the pool, music seems to always find its way to those who need it the most. Grayson Sanford’s own music-discovery experience isn’t too different. After the passing of one of his uncles, Grayson was given his vinyl, cassette and CD collection. Mainly it consisted of classic rock, disco, and jazz records, yet it was more than just the sounds for Grayson. He dove head first into where the music came from, which albums were more important than others in an artist’s career and which are regarded as the favorite or “popular” ones, the impact they had on the world at the time, and all concepts between.

Indie-rock risers Fuzzy Sun continue their foray into unabashed anthems with the release of a new single, ‘Morning Light’ – taken from the band’s forthcoming new EP ‘Since The Dog Died’, due November 2021.

Pairing soulful, impassioned vocal melodies with enchanting, downbeat production, ‘Groove Therapy’ finds CRUZA deftly exploring the conflicting emotions attached to a toxic relationship. Today, Los Angeles post-rock outfit Gypsum release their luminous new single/video “Give It” which features mesmerizing hi-hat work and chasmic, stop-and-start waves of Sleater-Kinney-esque guitar interplay. The track is the second to come off their eponymous debut self-titled album (release date: October 12, 2021 via Sonic Ritual). Anna Arboles (guitarist and vocalist) says “Give It” is about self-determination and identity while Sapphire Jewell (guitarist and vocalist), who brought in the riff for the track, says “I remember writing this when I was going through a phase where I’d play a chord and then tried to play a riff on the lower strings at the same time.
