Dori Freeman Shares “Almost Home” + New Video For “I Am”
Both songs are from the Galax, Virginia-based singer/songwriter’s forthcoming studio album, ‘Ten Thousand Roses,’ due September 10 on her own boutique label, Blue Hens Music. Written and recorded during the pandemic in 2020, the 10-track collection was produced by Freeman’s husband Nicholas Falk. Whereas as her previous recordings lean towards folk and acoustic-Americana stylings, this time around Freeman explores a tougher country-rock sound, playing electric guitar for the first time on record and embracing bigger, dirtier drum sounds.

Alt. indie rocker Sam Himself shares “La Paz”, a melancholy journey from minimalist intro to anthemic climax, covering almost as much ground as the road trip by which it was inspired. After 23 years of silence, Finnish cult black metallers and pioneers of the scene DARKWOODS MY BETROTHED are making their long-awaited comeback with a new full-length album, Angel of Carnage Unleashed, to be unveiled on November 12, 2021 via Napalm Records. The album sets free a unique blend of brutal, fast-driven black metal and epic anthems, in which eerie screams merge with heroic clean vocals, monumental choirs and majestic keyboards along with gory stories of famine, war, plague and the inescapable brutality of Finland’s nature in the era of the Great Northern War (1700-1721). It features the old horde from the original 1993 line-up, now augmented by Tuomas Holopainen as a full member of the band and Kai Hahto (both Nightwish) as session drummer.

The cd has 14 tracks and was mixed by Daryl Bolicek at Wild Horse Recording in Minnesota and mastered by Thomas Juth at Svenska Grammofon studion in Sweden. The cd released on August 28th, 2020 worldwide and has already received great reviews from Germany, Sweden, USA, Poland.
