Steeped in his trademark indie tendencies, Brummy sensation Phil Madeley returns with contemplative new effort ‘This Time’, set for release August 11th.
His first material since acclaimed debut EP ’21st Century Witch Hunt’, out last year via cult indie label Nice Swan Records (Sports Team, Pip Blom, Courting), ‘This Time’ sees Madeley’s profound songwriting come to the fore, and arrives ahead of his debut UK headline tour kicking off next month.

Metallic hardcore band Foreign Pain share new single “Knell”
Today, Los Angeles-based metallic hardcore outfit Foreign Pain have shared a crushing new single and visualizer, “Knell”. The track will appear on their upcoming debut album Death of Divinity, out September 3rd on Good Fight Music. The new single represents metalcore and hardcore at its very best – heavy, sharp-edged and entirely pissed off. The track begins with an atonal riff set atop a layer of industrial soundscape that gradually descends into what could best be described as total madness; culminating in nearly two minutes of a fuzzed-out breakdown and an evil, serpentine riff that will surely serve as inspiration for more than a handful of terrifying moments in the mosh pit. The vocals are anguished and bitter without losing any of their anger, conveying the bleak themes of the song in a purposeful and brutal way. The visualizer accompanies the chaos of the track with flashing, nightmarish imagery set against a swirling black and red background.

Alice TM is the queer artpop project of Alice Tolan-Mee. A dance conservatory dropout turned singer and composer, Alice TM bridges these disciplines through her raucous, emotionally unhinged performances, inhabiting a world between performance art and party.
Throughout her debut album Little Body In Orbit—releasing October 8 via Whatever’s Clever—Alice examines different types of love, finding room for both confession and retreat. Her songs are stratospheric in this way, fueled by the pressure of holding in emotions that once weren’t allowed out. She embraces her queerness, releasing love that was once stifled and latent, and allows love to guide her as she navigates memories of anger, abuse, and fear, as well as sex, addiction, depression, and loneliness.

I started in 2017 recording all of my songs in the closet of my apartment. I’ve always wanted to help people with music like how music helped me. With my music, I like to blend genres and experiment with sounds, much like my influences, ranging from Twenty One Pilots to My Chemical Romance. I don’t shy away from what’s experimental or different. If the emotion is there, I want to make it because maybe someone else feels the same way. Even now, my style is still developing, but the emotion will always be there because there’s nothing I’m more passionate about than music.
