The track acts as a loving obituary of sorts for a band no longer together; a collage of memories and happier times. TARYN Shares Music Video for “Brand New”

“Brand New” is about shedding regrets from the past and welcoming growth, vulnerability, and experience with open arms. The pairing music video was shot in Nashville, TN and was created with a small team consisting of director Joseph Wasilewski, assistant director Garrett Boiling, gaffer Richard Chilton, and choreographer Ysa Fernandez. Over the course of the video, the camera follows TARYN closely as she dances through her home, mirroring the intimate and autobiographical nature of the song. “I think the video does a beautiful job of conveying what the song represents: frequent change and the feeling of freedom in your own space, creating an environment for yourself that you’re comfortable with and that you’re proud to live in, that expresses who you are on the inside and out,” TARYN says.

Bishop Ivy introduced himself as an alternative-pop songwriter known for his innovative music which mixed organic instruments with digital sounds, field recordings, electronica influences, and samples. Continuing to sharpen that sound, he now embellishes it with pop hooks, sonically adventurous production and autobiographical lyrics. Ivy’s focus on imaginative sound and sharp songcraft began in Boston, where he kicked off his career as a 14-year-old street busker on the neighbourhood sidewalks of Back Bay. Now based in Pittsburgh, where he studies music, electrical engineering and computer science, and with a number of releases under his belt, Ivy hopes to further his ability to manipulate music.

Charlotte Cornfield Announces New Album ‘Highs in the Minuses’ Out 10/29 (Polyvinyl/Double Double Whammy), Shares Lead Single/Video “Headlines”

After spending much of 2020 with her thoughts and instruments, Cornfield knew it was time to take her new songs out of the house. She’d spent months writing a suite of evocative, autobiographical story-songs in near-solitude, and was ready for the immediate, regenerative experience of a band playing live in the studio. But this wasn’t mere pandemic-related longing. It was instead a long-simmering desire.

Signs Of Life is the sound of a beloved singer-songwriter at the peak of his powers. It’s also the sound of a man – a husband, a father, a sinner, a drinker – belatedly coming to terms with his demons. Namely, after years and years of almost constant touring, an addiction to alcohol and painkillers. In the bluesy, woozy “Hair Of The Dog” Vance tackles the subject head on, listing his self-medicating crutches while confessing “You no longer make me happy / You no longer make me smile / You take everything that’s good within me.”
