Transnational shoegaze/experimental trio healthyliving (Maud the moth, Falloch) share video for “until”
healthyliving is the project of long-time collaborators and friends Scott McLean (Falloch) on bass, guitars, and production, Stefan Pötzsch on drums, and Amaya López-C (Maud the moth) on voice and lyric writing. The shoegaze/alternative trio released their two-track release, until / below, last month on digital/streaming platforms. Doom duo Tommy Stewart’s Dyerwulf have released the new single “Two Trog Yomp”. The song is from the upcoming album “Doomsday Deferred” which will be released on September 3rd via Black Doomba Records.
Tommy commented “”‘Two Trog Yomp’ is about how some of us, including myself, have fragmented thoughts and distractions while dealing with how time is unrelenting in it’s forward march. The song has a persistent stomp beat while disregarding what thought is in the lyric before it can be resolved just like time itself and sometimes our lives. I feel that being overwhelmed while time continues is a relatable subject for many people. ”

“Last spring I was taking part in a challenge to write a song every week with some pals, I had just uploaded the week’s creation and was feeling pleased with myself, which led to exhaling this song in about 15 minutes. Hearing this tune now takes me right back to the first stretch of the pandemic, what a strange/wonderful/tough first few disorientating months it was. I was excited about bringing this song to the band but nervous that it might come out wrong, we ended up making the groove half time and super spacious which was exactly what the song needed.”
