“periergo” by mynameisleonidas.

Fresh off of being named one of Pigeons & Planes’ Best New Artists of June, and after arriving out of thin air with his signing to the respected Parisian label Kitsuné earlier this year, mynameisleonidas has rapidly built a name around his genre-sprawling production and deeply guarded anonymity. Early singles “elevate in the village” and “please don’t run” opened the curtain further by revealing the artist was inspired by family divides after becoming a father. Details below:

The band’s latest single, ‘SAVE ME’ comes wrapped up in the brand of ’90s / early ’00s nostalgia they have endeared themselves to audiences with, while layering their own flair throughout. JACKIE LIPSON Releases Single + Video “Bully”, Finds Power in Vulnerability

Jackie has struggled with anxiety and depression since she was a kid. Her journey to self-acceptance was not easy. Her adolescence was littered with thoughts and ideas about herself that she learned from the media and pop culture: that women must be thin, small, attractive, flawless. Her Queerness, fatness, boldness did not fit within this societal ideal. Director of Photography, Mo McFadden, captured Jackie’s vision and directed a short film for the song, which serves as its official music video.

He is the first artist up on tastemaker Dominique’s #JUSTAREGULARDAY imprint.

INTRODUCING: Bella B with debut single, ‘Light On’

Brisbane singer-songwriter Bella B fluoresces onto the scene today, with debut track ‘Light On’.

Produced by Tom Eggert (Marco, HANNI) and releasing under Tom’s new label Echo Records, the song is lush while caressing Bella’s vocals amongst the orchestral euphony. The textural choices of a sparsely layered chorus, soft flourishes expanding the spectrum of Bella’s vocal range, atop the classical piano and glitching synths; all meld together to evoke the illuminating message, and radiating tone.

INTERSTELLAR TAY SHARES EXQUISITE SINGLE ‘GARDEN SONG’

Garden Song has such a precious feel to it – and the story behind it is moving and sacred, as Tay explains, “Garden Song is about the night my grandfather died. I’m not a particularly spiritual person, but we were very close. At 11pm that night I had a dream about somebody stomping on piano keys which woke me up. In the morning I called my grandmother and she told me that he had passed away at 11pm that night. I didn’t think too much of it at the time. However, after his funeral we were all having a chat about the night he died. Both my uncle and grandmother told us that they were also woken up at 11pm. So the song is about how jarring losing the connection of a loved one can be.”
