“Coochie Man” YN Jay Continues His Hot Streak With “72 Hours” Video
It’s YN Jay’s world, and we’re all living in it. Less than a week removed from the release of Coochie Chronicles, his latest collection of off-kilter and weird, yet wonderfully unique and catchy Michigan rap fare, Jay shares the video for “72 Hours.” The track features a low-key and somber, piano-led instrumental, which Jay attacks with a torrent of deeply funny bars in his trademark slick-talking flow: “You ain’t know I was an Airbender, b****, I make wind/I’ll punch a n**** in the store, make him break wind.” In the video, directed by NTRO4K Films, YN Jay posts up on his lonely with several stacks of cash, all while delivering his unique brand of rap music and plotting his next move.
With the title being a reference to Virgil Abloh’s acclaimed streetwear brand “Off-White”, the two rappers flex their rockstar lifestyles, designer drip, and flashy jewelry as they rage to the raucous beat. The video is kaleidoscopic in nature as the two dictate the track with their melodic flows and eccentric styles. The duo originally joined forces in the most organic way, through social media, after NGeeYL gained the attention of Uzi with the release of his mixtape Hiatus leading Uzi to shoutout him out on Instagram calling NGee his “favorite rapper”. From there, the two rappers forged a friendship that would translate into Lil Uzi Vert executive producing NGeeYL’s album to be released later this year and birth this first single “Off-White”.
