RATINOFF channels neighborly anger in new song “Light Me Up”
“‘Light Me Up’ came out of frustration and anger,” says the SoCal-based alt-rock RATINOFF (full name: Jay Ratinoff) about his new single out tomorrow, Friday, June 11th. “With everybody spending a lot of time indoors and working and going to school from home, there were a few instances where my neighbors at the time were complaining that my rehearsing during the day was a distraction. It was starting to cause some trouble and that’s where the inspiration for the song came from.”

CARNIFIED is one of the veteran forces from Brazilian extreme metal scene. Formed in 1994 by Alex Oliveira (vocals), Eduardo Araújo (bass), Leonardo Pinheiro (guitars) and Vicente Azevêdo (drums), the group released its first demo, “Putrid Development”, in 1994. In 1996 the group’s music changed, influenced by the British death/doom metal acts, which resulted in their second demo, “The Carnification”. In 1998 their line-up also expanded, becoming a sextet, with which they recorded their first EP, “O Primeiro Elo”. With lyrics that tell stories of a world inhabited by gods who envy the human form they released in 2001 “Where The Gods Bleed”, their debut album.

Melodic death metal band DEATH ON FIRE have unleashed their single “A Hell Of Our Own Design” via No Clean Singing. The song is from their upcoming EP Six Foot Box which will be released on July 16 2021.

Danny Elfman Releases New Double Album, ‘Big Mess’
Big Mess was almost entirely created spontaneously during quarantine in 2020. It began as an experiment Elfman had been considering which combined aggressive rock band and orchestral strings in a way that had not been heavily explored. “Once I began writing,” he explained, “It was like opening a Pandora’s box and I found I couldn’t stop. None of it was planned. I had no idea how many songs I would write but from the start it quickly became a 2-sided project with heavily contrasting and even conflicting tones.”
