New Music: LonelyTwin’s Astral “If I Know Myself” (Ultra Music)
The single is the first hint of what else is in store for LonelyTwin’s debut album due this summer: a genre-blurring combination of inventive trip-hop, smart indie pop, and evocative electronic folk that subtly slides between blue mood and hard-earned joy. Though LonelyTwin is new and evokes longing (Madelene herself being a Gemini), it builds on Eliasson’s past lives in music: working for others as half of the pop songwriting/production team MAD FUN (Le Youth, SHY Martin), teaming up with Jonathan Olofsson as Jo&Me for blog-approved cover of Drake’s “Too Good” along with recent solo releases of “My Heart” and a remix of MGMT’s “Electric Feel” (1.6M+ Spotify streams).
US prog metal band Intentional Trainwreck release Single/Video for “Basilisk’s Gaze”
Pete Lesko – Vocals, guitars, says: “This one is a bit more of a lighthearted track focused on playing D&D. It was one of the earliest adventures I played with my current DM, where I played a lizard folk druid that was hunting basilisks. There are a couple of other various incidents that have happened at other games that I worked into the chorus too. At one particular game, someone rolled a twenty sided die, a regular occurrence in the game, and rolled a 20, considered the best roll. Immediately after the die stopped rolling, I guess the chair just felt like giving up that day and the whole thing just completely split apart out from underneath him. He felt like it was the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to him in his entire life but for me I just couldn’t stop laughing. I thought it would be fun to include that in the song.”
Belle Tower is the lo-fi indie folk rock project of Tiohtià:ke/Montreal + Xwilkway/Halfmoon Bay based artist Isabella Harned. Molly Burman Shares New Track “everytime” || Announces Debut EP ‘Fool Me With Flattery’ Due Out 8/20 On Prolifica Inc.
Effortlessly melodic and gutsy, Molly has the following to say about the themes behind it: “‘Everytime’ is about my sad excuse for a love life. I used to be so obsessed with dating and getting validation from guys, but they just kept ghosting me. It got to a point where I realized I needed to accept that I was going to be on my own for a while and might as well start loving my own company. It’s like a sort of love letter to myself, always there to remind me that I am enough and I am exactly what I want.” – photo credit: Dora Paphides

Today marks the release of Atlanta native singer, songwriter, and rapper BRS Kash and New York singer/rapper Toosii’s sensual video to their hit-track “Feel Better” off mixtape Kash Only. On the melodic track, Kash slows down his signature up-tempo sound – together they tap into their emotions sharing their feelings on their loved ones over gloomy guitar cords. In the video directed by Caleb Seales, we get a glimpse inside of Kash’s romantic relationship.
“Sometimes a fresh start is really what you need,” shares the band. “‘Oh No’ really embodies the path to how Wilder. came to be. Like our other songs, it has colorful, bright instrumentals that mask very honest, vulnerable lyrics, like ‘I got what I want/still kinda feel lost.’ This is just a small insight to an internal struggle of starting something new, yet not really knowing the outcome of what this new endeavor will bring us. But man, we are stoked. Let’s get wild.”

Texas Trapper Wacotron Salutes the Streets in the “Hold Up” Video
Mixing witty punchlines with perarls of street wisdom, Texas rapper Wacotron always speaks the truth. Coming through a down-and-dirty video for a bass-heavy banger, Wacotron shares the video for “Hold Up.” Riding a menacing instrumental that evokes a trapified version of the theme from Jaws, the Steezefield of 808 Mafia-produced “Hold Up” is an unapologetically raw anthem. Wacotron rocks a locked-in 2-step flow as he warns possible steppers about the grave consequences of their actions: Who dat is hating, tell that n***** fall in line/Big facts I’m the truth but you gon’ listen to them lies/Lost my partner to these streets ’cause they ain’t wanna see him shine/And when my daughter at the park, the only time I let it slide .” In the video, directed by Donthypeme, Wacotron posts up in South Waco with his loyal crew, turning heads in his Dodgers jersey and clean white sneakers as he lords over his neighborhood like a king. “Hold Up” is the latest in a line of high quality videos from Smokin Texas, Wacotron’s debut project, immediately following the turnt-up video for the Marshmello-produced “Hole In A Cup.”

I couldn’t really figure out where I wanted to go with it, but then once I heard the 3-against-4 interplay between the bass synth and the arpeggiator, it came together pretty quick! I really love this song, that constant push and pull with a very ghostly-sounding melody in the background.”

Book of Wyrms have just released their song “Hollergoblin”. The track is taken from their album Occult New Age which is out on May 7th 2021.
Bassist Jay Lindsey commented “Hollergoblin is about a time Sarah and I were driving in a mountain forest and took a shortcut the phone suggested. The road kept getting smaller and less paved, and the woods were closing in on us so we couldn’t turn around. It was becoming pretty obvious that we shouldn’t be there, and then the road was completely blocked by pickup trucks as it went into an unpaved hollow. We knew we shouldn’t be there but couldn’t turn around and so the song is just about that creeping paranoia of feeling like a hostile presence is watching you”
