New Music: LonelyTwin’s Astral “If I Know Myself” (Ultra Music)

The single is the first hint of what else is in store for LonelyTwin’s debut album due this summer: a genre-blurring combination of inventive trip-hop, smart indie pop, and evocative electronic folk that subtly slides between blue mood and hard-earned joy. Though LonelyTwin is new and evokes longing (Madelene herself being a Gemini), it builds on Eliasson’s past lives in music: working for others as half of the pop songwriting/production team MAD FUN (Le Youth, SHY Martin), teaming up with Jonathan Olofsson as Jo&Me for blog-approved cover of Drake’s “Too Good” along with recent solo releases of “My Heart” and a remix of MGMT’s “Electric Feel” (1.6M+ Spotify streams).

US prog metal band Intentional Trainwreck release Single/Video for “Basilisk’s Gaze”

Pete Lesko – Vocals, guitars, says: “This one is a bit more of a lighthearted track focused on playing D&D. It was one of the earliest adventures I played with my current DM, where I played a lizard folk druid that was hunting basilisks. There are a couple of other various incidents that have happened at other games that I worked into the chorus too. At one particular game, someone rolled a twenty sided die, a regular occurrence in the game, and rolled a 20, considered the best roll. Immediately after the die stopped rolling, I guess the chair just felt like giving up that day and the whole thing just completely split apart out from underneath him. He felt like it was the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to him in his entire life but for me I just couldn’t stop laughing. I thought it would be fun to include that in the song.”

Molly Burman Shares New Track “everytime” || Announces Debut EP ‘Fool Me With Flattery’ Due Out 8/20 On Prolifica Inc.

Effortlessly melodic and gutsy, Molly has the following to say about the themes behind it: “‘Everytime’ is about my sad excuse for a love life. I used to be so obsessed with dating and getting validation from guys, but they just kept ghosting me. It got to a point where I realized I needed to accept that I was going to be on my own for a while and might as well start loving my own company. It’s like a sort of love letter to myself, always there to remind me that I am enough and I am exactly what I want.” – photo credit: Dora Paphides

“Sometimes a fresh start is really what you need,” shares the band. “‘Oh No’ really embodies the path to how Wilder. came to be. Like our other songs, it has colorful, bright instrumentals that mask very honest, vulnerable lyrics, like ‘I got what I want/still kinda feel lost.’ This is just a small insight to an internal struggle of starting something new, yet not really knowing the outcome of what this new endeavor will bring us. Book of Wyrms have just released their song “Hollergoblin”. The track is taken from their album Occult New Age which is out on May 7th 2021.

Bassist Jay Lindsey commented “Hollergoblin is about a time Sarah and I were driving in a mountain forest and took a shortcut the phone suggested. The road kept getting smaller and less paved, and the woods were closing in on us so we couldn’t turn around. It was becoming pretty obvious that we shouldn’t be there, and then the road was completely blocked by pickup trucks as it went into an unpaved hollow. We knew we shouldn’t be there but couldn’t turn around and so the song is just about that creeping paranoia of feeling like a hostile presence is watching you”
