New Music: ART BERGMANN releases “La Mort de L’Ancien Regime,” latest single from Late Stage Empire Dementia out May 21

In typical Art Bergmann fashion, “La Mort de L’Ancien Regime”‘s breezy melodicism blends seamlessly with lyrics demanding action against unfettered corporate power, this time using the French Revolution as a touchstone. When asked to expand on its message, Bergmann pulls no punches in saying, “This song is the joyous anthem the kids will be singin’ down the years after the great banksters are finally dead and gone. I would have said ‘pigs who reign over us,’ but that is an insult to our animal friends who are smarter than our sacred dawgs.”

‘She Said’ is a pop-song paradox, sounds a gently cautionary note whilst releasing us into the freedom of an elegant melody and Harper’s beguiling voice. One of the main themes of the song is beauty and how the true essence of beauty is often not found in the places where our culture tells us that beauty is found. Rather, the very essence of beauty is found in simply being human. Beautiful is created in your mind.” -Brynn Elliott

‘Without a Sound’

“Without a Sound” was inspired by the chance you take when committing to a relationship. Out of all the possible outcomes you allow yourself to be vulnerable and supported, but the weight of potentially losing them can be heavy. As I wrote the lyrics and melody, I continued to draw these parallels throughout the verses while the chorus found a middle ground of trust; I heard you say without a sound, I felt lost but now I’m found, don’t let me down.

SUZI QUATRO Releases New Single & Music Video for “Do Ya Dance”

“My son Richard presented me with this track. It was an unusual one, a bit of a James Brown vibe, who I always loved. I worked on it till I found the exact right melody, which was not obvious, and the right words to sing that I could relate to. I always have to tell a story, and it all came together very nicely. The lyrics are a little naughty, which at my age, I am certainly allowed to be. We made this video in my garage complete with dancing, confetti, and mask-wearing muso’s and dancers. I must say it was a little strange looking into all those Suzi’s faces…very surreal. The track and video can be summed up with one word…FUN!”
