Drifting offers a nod to era defining indie and alternative bands that have inspired SENSES; layers of atmospheric guitars, leading to arms aloft euphoria. Yet, there are glimpses of more obscure influences, seen in the use of samples, vintage synths and staccato strings, in much the same way as the Jacques Villeglé inspired cover art. Lyrically minimalistic, the song capitalises on the blissful harmonies of Callan and Finny. Combining to create a song that soars, making way for a sense of hope that reverberates long after the last note.

“Devil’s OB”, the first single, released on April 02nd, is a twisted, witchy, and yet dreamy song about internal conflicts, obsession, desperation, and madness. The video, premièred on New Noise Mag, was shot in the woods by director Enrico Fappani.
It creates the atmosphere of a dark fairytale, using symbols, a wicked scenery and the powerful presence of Rita’s gestures and voice, which could remind female artists as Kate Bush or Nina Hagen..

Today, Tom Jones has released “Pop Star,” the fourth song to be taken from his forthcoming album Surrounded By Time out April 23 via BMG. The song follows the release of “Talking Reality Television Blues,” “No Hole In My Head,” and “One More Cupt Of Coffee,” which saw the release of an official lyric video last week. Surrounded By Time is now available for pre-order.
The bass line is the driving force behind “The Judge,” contributing rhythmically via a call and response with the vocals. Including saxophone and trumpet solos harkens back to my days performing in middle and high school jazz bands. Once I had added those elements, the song felt truly complete.
