HEADACHE Releases New Single and Video For “lifehaspassedmeby”

“lifehaspassedmeby” was the first track recorded from Get Off The Internet and is about “feeling like your best days are behind you,” reflects Duce, the former Lower Than Atlantis front man, a band proclaimed as the future of British alternative-rock. “I basically just wrote a song about how I felt that day.” Although the song sees Duce use his expressive lyrics to wonder “where did the years go” and ponder if he “peaked in the summer of ’09,” the track helped spark a journey towards creating change in himself and his outlook on his future. As a result, each song on the release leans into a more positive and imaginative aura, signaling a return of confident artistry. By taking a broader, more organic approach to songwriting, he found inspiration in his current music diet, using everything from boom bap to jazz to help curate his neo-soul sound which Mike describes as “a regurgitation of an amalgamation of music I’ve been into all my life.”

Sideline shows a different side with “Just A Guy In A Bar”

The scene is set: a crowded bar, a man sitting alone. While others engage, he’s bent over his phone, a somber face reflected in its dim blue light. It’s a scene we’ve all been witness to — and a feeling many have experienced — but even so, it’s one that’s been described in song more often than truly evoked. The new Mountain Home Music Company single from Sideline, “Just A Guy In A Bar” recalls a legion of country weepers, yet it is not only an especially compelling portrait of isolation and regret, but one that marks something of a musical departure for the award-winning sextet.

“When I think of Sideline,” says bassist and founding member Jason Moore, “I think of hard driving, in your face music. When I first heard ‘Just A Guy In A Bar,’ I knew it was a great song, but I didn’t know how we could make it into a Sideline song. After trying several different things with it, we decided on doing what we thought the song called for — as opposed to what the band would normally do — and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined.”

Smith & Burrows Share Video For “Parliament Hill”

Ten years after their first outing, Funny Looking Angels the pair have finally reunited to release the second collaborative collection of songs under the tongue-in-cheek Only Smith & Burrows Is Good Enough moniker.

The bittersweet-ness that encapsulates the track is transformed with the addition of magical puppeteering courtesy of the local Little Angel Theatre Players that alludes to past romance and the spaces and places it plays out. All the more pertinent following both writers vacating the capital last year and as Smith says; “That’s my favorite song on the album and it’s a beautiful song for now, when we’re all craving connection to people and places. It captures a real, still moment.”

Nashville based writer and producer Zayde Wølf is storming into 2021 with a tour de force and fist-pumping powerful new song “Back At It.” This powerhouse of a song sets the tone for what is bound to be a huge year for Dustin Burnett the mastermind behind Zayde Wølf. ”Back at It” is the first single from Wølf’s third full-length album due out this spring. The album follows the 2018 release of Modern Alchemy, Wølf’s sophomore full-length album, which charted in over 25 countries on the iTunes charts and debuted in the top ten on the iTunes Alternative chart in the U.S. within hours of its release. Unintimidated by his past successes, Burnett has always been solely focused on making music that helps listeners to push through and overcome life’s challenges, trust that broken hearts eventually heal, and to remember that music is one of our most powerful tools for connecting us to one another. Burnett has experienced the power of music firsthand, and he’s made it his mission to share it with the rest of the world. “These songs are helping me in all these different ways,” says Burnett. “For a song to start in one place and then move all over the world to people who speak very little English is wild. These people reach out to me daily and say they are impacted by these songs in ways that turn their week around for better, or that the songs lead them to rethink a hard situation… and that’s powerful and humbling to me.”
