I.Am.Tru.Starr is to release his new album, Viva on 29th October, a collection of songs which tell the truth about what it means to be black in America in 2020. I.Am.Tru.Starr the real deal – an artist who creates songs which truly encapsulate his feelings, such is the case with his recent single, Something’s Gotta Change, a track which he hopes will hit home with this generation like Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On did in the 1970s. Having already built up millions of streams across Spotify and Apple Music, the single is taken from his forthcoming album, Viva, a collection of tracks that showcase I.Am.Tru.Starr’s own take on soul and hip-hop, tackling issues at the very heart of Black Lives Matter. I.Am.Tru.Starr speaks from experience – having spent five years in a federal prison, he treats his songs as a means of paying back his debt to society – with Something’s Gotta Change, no-one can deny that the emotion and message hits the mark.
Tender Central is the electronic pop project of Devon born, classically trained cellist India Bourne. Tia Carys Shares Brand Video for New Track ‘Reflect in Mirrors’
This new track sees Tia Carys at her most reflective, detailing the complexities that often come with the end of relationships, life events and changes in the midst of your teenage years. The video, directed by Otis Dominique (Jorja Smith, Kojey Radical) is bold, and links strongly back to the message in the song. As Tia says, the track is plainly about “reflecting in the mirror as I step out of my teenage years”, but drummed up so poetically in song, such is Tia Carys’ talent.

Welsh-Australian songwriter Sonny Winnebago has released a new video for ‘Lemonade’
“The concept was to create something a little nostalgic. I used to make lemonade as a kid growing up in Australia, so including a lemonade stand in the video was a great jumping-off point. I also really love the cinematography of Napoleon Dynamite and Wes Anderson films, so we sprinkled a lot of that throughout. I also wanted it to have a simple, childlike ‘DIY’ feel, similar to 90s/2000s cartoons like Rugrats & Recess.”
