Jordi Up Late Shares “Wasting Away” Via Beats Per Minute, More Music Out Soon
LA-based pop artist Jordi Up Late shares “Wasting Away”, her second release following her debut single “Facts” in August. Both are lead singles off her EP due later this year. Beats Per Minute premiered the video, animated by RISD graduate Jordi herself, praising, “It’s a sun-drenched, bedroom-pop-like ballad, as charming as it is addicting. Hard rock band The Lonely Ones released their brand new single “Real Big Trouble” to all digital outlets.
“Real Big Trouble started simple – with all of us passing an acoustic guitar back and forth. It is the heaviest song we’ve written but showcases all of our influences from old Thin Lizzy swing to Beartooth. Human Scum is the debut album of Denver hardcore sludge band Vulgarian. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered in August of 2020 at World Famous Studios by Pete De Boer — engineer of Blood Incantation’s Starspawn (2016) and Hidden History of the Human Race (2019). Human Scum features artwork by Ethan McCarthy of Primitive Man and Vermin Womb. Within each track is a tirade against racism, corruption, police and state violence, and the overall erosion of individual rights, and is the culmination of Vulgarian’s four years of railing against the political and cultural hellscape that has unfolded in the wake of the election of Donald Trump.

“‘Ocean of Dead Feelings’ was inspired after coming home from a trip to the outer edge of North Carolina,” Color of Light bandleader Sean Neuse told New Noise. “The boundless oceans triggered all of these dark emotions, even thoughts of suicide I’ve kept locked away inside myself for a long time. The ocean being the mirror of life, inspired the song coming together for the album.”

Alex Veach is a musical artist in Los Angeles, originally from New York. He studied classical piano and jazz trombone as a kid, and in more recent years Alex has pursued music production. His style varies from conscious hip hop, urban, trap, rnb, and edm. His experimental indie rap style makes him an interesting and original emerging artist. Since his first album Transcend released last year, Alex has continued to put out new beats and sounds to break the mold.
Jaime Wyatt has premiered a new video for her song “Rattlesnake Girl” via GLAAD and Billboard Pride today. The video features a live version of the standout track from her 2020 album Neon Cross with accompaniment from Lillie Mae, Misael Arriaga, and Frank Rische. World-renowned musician Ryuichi Sakamoto will perform his final concert of 2020, titled ‘Ryuichi Sakamoto: Playing the Piano 12122020’, broadcast online via MUSIC/SLASH, a video streaming platform that broadcasts using the highest sound quality available in the industry.

The chorus then came naturally as a means to tie in the awkwardness of these seemingly mismatched relationships. It’s the first time that I’ve tried to keep the music very light, maybe even cheesy, while navigating a very sensitive social issue of body shaming. EGOISM’s video for ‘Here’s The Thing’ places Scout and Olive directly in harm’s way, under shards of smashed glass suspended from the ceiling. The video is a mesmerising collaboration of music and art which was shot over a weekend in Sydney’s Marrickville at the Create or Die Studios.
‘Here’s the Thing’ is the third track from their upcoming EP “On Our Minds” which will be released November 6th. The EP was written, recorded and produced by the duo in their bedrooms, and mixed by Matthew Neighbour (The Avalanches, Matt Corby, Sky Ferreira).
