Madison Olds’ Releases Dazzling New Single “Bad Thing”
Like the famous saying “Go big or go home”, Kamloops, BC-based pop singer-songwriter Madison Olds says her iridescent new track “Bad Thing” examines how if she’s already gonna do something bad it “might as well be good.” She explains, “It’s a flirtatious tale of a girl who fights herself from falling for someone who may or may not be trouble, even though their attraction to one another have her going crazy.” Though the song is as simple as the hook, “If I’m gonna do a bad thing, I’m gonna do you,” it’s left up to the listener to decide if she follows through.
Whethan unveils debut album ‘Fantasy’
“Fantasy is getting on a spaceship and teleporting anywhere your dreams can imagine,” Whethan shared. “I wanted to make a project that was full of energy and artists that I’m inspired by. There was an underlying theme of alternative meets psychedelic dance music and I wanted to be able to blast every song at my shows or have it feel like you’re at a show when listening at home or in the car. I got to work with some of my favorite artists like RL Grime, Grouplove, The Wombats, bülow, and many more. I grew a lot while working on the album over the span of the last 3 years and you can hear it through the different styles and feelings on each track.”

Live Techno Act KOMFORTRAUSCHEN Shares Expander EP
Live techno act KOMFORTRAUSCHEN have announced the release of their new EP Expander which was released on 16th of October 2020. The band is well known on the Berlin circuit and have played the iconic Kantine am Berghain, opened for MEUTE on their European Tour, as well as a slew of performances at festivals across Europe and the US such as the legendary Seebühne Closing at the Fusion Festival 2019, MS Dockville, Reeperbahn Festival, Eurosonic Noorderslag and SXSW. The single was mastered by Lad Agabekov of Caduceus Studios (whose previous associations include the likes of Octave One, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Oliver Deutschmann) and mixed by Kassian Troyer (who has worked with Pan American, Fennesz and Jan Jelinek). Their previous single ‘Mechatronik’ received support from the likes of EARMILK and Electronic Groove.

Today, Claude VonStroke favorite Robot Love has released his sophomore EP on DIRTYBIRD, ‘Glass Table.’ The project boasts the unique indietronica sonics that attracted the label owner to the burgeoning talent in the first place, and follows up his ‘Wallflower’ EP and single on its 2020 ‘Couchout Compilation.’
Modular synths comprise the sum of ‘Glass Table’s’ parts per Robot Love’s usual modus operandi, each piece of gear carefully arranged into emotive slices of experimental electronica. “Tangle” centers around its distorted vocal clips, which are surrounded by fluttering harmonic patches and a soft low-end. Meanwhile, the textural “Slumberjack” serves up euphoria by way of lush windchimes and playful sound effects.

Today, LA-based Alt-R&B artist Alt Bloom releases his new single “Getting to Getting” via BigMTN Records. Inspired by the excitement of a new relationship, “Getting to Getting” was self-written, recorded and produced by Ethan Thompson (aka Alt Bloom) during quarantine.
“I always try to clear my mind before I write a song and when I do usually some moment or moments in my life come out,” explains Ethan. “‘Getting to Getting’ is about the excitement you get when you go out to meet a person you’re digging on and you see that they’re digging back. In that moment the night turns into an over the top heart beat ride and this song is in the middle of that journey.”
