German producer Roxy Tones recently released his huge single Dancing in the Corner featuring Dominic Neill, which is available to buy and stream now via RCA Records.

Roxy Tones is the moniker of producer Jens Maiwald, who stepped into the spotlight with his own tracks in 2019, after making emotive deep house tracks for other artists. He has since released over 8 tracks, which have all reached over a million streams on Spotify.

“Therapy” takes the artist’s innate talent for sincere songwriting and raw delivery to the next level as the rising artist laments “maybe I’m in need of therapy…” something we can all absolutely relate to right now. This song was born out of a summer of self-reflection for Boy In Space, and he is working on music for a new project slated for 2021.

“I wrote this when you really started to see the shift in America’s race dynamic after Trump came into office,” says Alph. “The song is about the veil of racism and what black Americans do to work around that.”

Toronto’s cyborg-funk/post-punk, Lee Paradise (Phèdre, Hooded Fang) – Shares new single, ‘Maintaining Platitudes’

The Fink was written and recorded between Berlin and Lee’s home of Toronto; there’s quite a process to his sound which includes drummer, Jonathan Pappo’s (Hooded Fang) nimble rhythms and dance/electronic producer, Michael Butler’s Yamaha CS-5. Musically, I think Lee’s doing something pretty cool here, attempting to channel the style and hard-hitting sound quality of hip-hop – Mobb Deep, Curren$y and Action Bronson are all key touchpoints to the new record – stacking layers of eerie vocal and ominous synths and fusing these with the renowned, monstrous bass lines of Lee Paradise and disco-funk elements, inspired by Walter Whisenhunt.

Pop impulses have always surged beneath the surface of Pennsylvanian experimentalist TOBACCO’s sound — blown-out bass, analog synths, drum machines, and Tom Fec’s unmistakable analog gurgle and hiss. Kendall Street Company Release New Single “Waiting on a Train”

Kendall Street Company’s lead singer/songwriter Louis Smith tells Glide Magazine, “The writing sessions for ‘Waiting on a Train’ started with a voice memo set to this hypnotic riff that I had been toying with for a while. That riff felt to me like a pendulum swinging back and forth and reminiscent of someone waiting on a train, wondering what will happen next, but taking no action to make anything happen. I was reading Stephen King’s novel ‘The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands’ around the same time, and for a lot of that book the Gunslinger is looking for a train, so that sci-fi/western vibe made its way into the tune for sure.”
