Suzanne Santo strives for personal truth amid chaotic world in new single
Suzanne Santo released her new single “Fall For That” today. The track, which features an epic guitar solo from Gary Clark Jr. premiered exclusively via Relix earlier this week.
Santo spoke to Relix about the track saying “This tune comes from a deep need to find and understand the truth in the chaotic world around us and to represent myself from an honest place of my own volition. Often I feel clotheslined by the thoughts and agendas of others/the media and feel confused by what beliefs and thoughts are accurately my own.”

JAMILA WOODS RELEASES NEW TRACK “SULA (HARDCOVER)” + VIDEO
Last month Jamila Woods released “SULA (Paperback)”, a song inspired by Toni Morrison and her 1973 novel Sula. Today she’s released a Slot-A produced version of the song titled “SULA (Hardcover)” and along with it an incredibly brave and vulnerable video that shows a side of Woods that nobody has ever seen before. Directed by her close friend and Brown Girls creator Fatimah Asghar the two share a love for the book. Asghar explains:

Marieme Releases Video For ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ – New EP Songs For The Revolution Out October 28th
Marieme releases a new video today for her cover of the Sam Cooke classic ‘A Change Is Gonna Come.’ 100% of streaming proceeds from ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ will go to Black Lives Matter. She explains the choice to cover this particular song: “Since the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Aubrey my heart was so heavy that I found myself crying all the time. The only way to get through the tears was to sing to myself “A change is gonna come.” The track will be on her forthcoming EP Songs For The Revolution out on October 28th.
BREAK ME DOWN – New lyric video for THE POND out now!
With the lyric video for The Pond the band ends the cycle of the namesake LP released in late 2019.
In late February, Break Me Down announced a line-up change introducing, to their fans, Veronica as their new singer. Her peculiar bluesy-dark vocal dynamic gives the additional quid that the band was looking for the completion of the project.
The lyric video is a dedication to all the supporting people a band would be nothing without: the fans. Break Me Down will always be grateful to them and declare: “Thank you for all your support, love and explosive energy you show everyday. This new project is dedicated to all of you!”.
