JACK HENDERSON – Shares new single ‘Don’t Drink The Water’

They say the devil is in the detail, and Henderson’s latest offering presents a satanic-inspired majesty that dares to dance with the darkside.

Inspired by the original outlaw bluesman Robert Johnson (who allegedly made a pact with beelzebub himself in a bid for his prodigious musical abilities), “Don’t Drink The Water” is a case study of Faustian pacts and a cautionary tale of those willing to do anything in the pursuit of success.

Terra Lightfoot announces album & debuts new single ~ “Paper Thin Walls”

‘It’s Over Now’ first emerged as a slower, more somber song — about letting go of a failed relationship, one that seemed viable but that ultimately just didn’t work out,” says Lightfoot. “In-studio, it took on a new life as a straight-ahead rock song, and I can definitely take comfort in that. The drive of the band behind me puts me in a comfortable space to sing that intense chorus vocal.”

Xavier Alexander is the creative force behind the band, he wrote and recorded “Possession Street” right after moving from Miami to the Hong Kong Art and Coffee district of Sheung Wan in Fall 2019.

“Possession Street” is a deeply personal track about relationship failure written in the context of a city erupting in protests. It’s a love letter to his neighborhood featuring some of the streets he walks and street art he sees every day. The video, shot by Alexander on an iPhone 5, is meant to show a side of the city that isn’t often seen in Western media with the Sheung Wan street art and park life on display.

James Tillman shares “Things To Say” single

Brooklyn-based alt R&B artist, James Tillman announces his sophomore album, Modern Desires, and shares new single “Things To Say,” out today. The forthcoming 8-track LP arrives on October 9, 2020. The newly released track is the third single from the new project, following singles “Lose Control,” with its ’90s hip-hop vibe, and soul-piercing touch song “5AM.” Tillman’s brand of tender, warm and sultry energy stays consistent on the latest offering, and “Things To Say” takes listeners back with a 1970s inspired Brazilian and Latin-infused funkiness. Tillman says it’s about “the desire to be heard without misunderstanding, but also accepting the possibility of being misunderstood.” The psychedelic new tune is pensive and futurist at the same time.

Introducing Raj Mahal

Sydney-via-Boston artist, Raj Mahal, today shares, “Glimpse (ft. Dante.Knows),” the lead single from his forthcoming EP RAW DAWG. Listen HERE.

Raj Mahal says “Glimpse is raw and nasty, filled with authentic Caribbean flavor that influenced my entire childhood, being that my parents are from Haiti and Jamaica. If you grew up as a West Indian in Boston or New York, you’ll know what I’m talking about. If this is what ‘commercial’ Raj Mahal is capable of, then it’s not looking good for these other rappers.”

Inspired early on by the unrelenting and aggressive energy of Death Grips, “Glimpse ft Dante.Knows” (produced by long-time collaborator Domba) is designed to hit the most primal receptors of the brain and body. Melding the experimental electronic stylings of Danny Brown and A$AP Ferg with the hardened, menacing lyrical prowess of Jay Electronica and Chief Keef, the track is powered by Raj’s deep, guttural rumble of a voice and calls to mind the chilly, minimalist mood of a Kenny Beats track.

Joseph Capriati’s ‘metamorfosi’ album out now on Redimension Music

Metamorfosi is the story of Joseph Capriati’s artistic evolution, the result of both personal and musical development, maturing influences, and meeting his heroes – an emotional message which needs to be felt.

From the album’s opening moments, the slow-release, acid euphoria of ‘Improvvisazione’, and the stunning synth melodies of ‘Beautiful Morning’, Capriati’s cards are on the table. The three years since his last album have seen Joseph embark on a journey of self-reflection, broadening his creative spectrum and incorporating more genres and moods. “It is definitely not a pure dancefloor record”, he says of Metamorfosi, “it is diverse, which for me is the spirit of an album. I really hope that people will get the message.”

Jake Winstrom Shares Punchy New Single “What’s the Over/Under”

Jake Winstrom is a singer-songwriter you won’t mistake for anyone else. His sweet, sandpapery tenor has stymied rock club sound engineers for more than a decade. But with the release of his second solo album, Circles, the Tennessee-tunesmith-turned-Brooklynite has finally put out a collection of songs as unique and inviting as his voice.

The nine-song LP sees Winstrom doubling down on the harmony-soaked power pop and slightly off-kilter country rock that catapulted his former band Tenderhooks to high-profile appearances at Bonnaroo and opening for ZZ Top and The War On Drugs. But the 37-year-old has veered away from his former group’s tightly-wound arrangements, crafting a song cycle that’s more raw and personal.

“2020 has been a very weird year for all of us, a year of difficulty and many changes,” explains DLMT. “It was hard to find inspiration for new music in the midst of chaos, but one thing that stuck out was the word ‘restart.’ It inspired me to branch out with different styles of

Despite Exile Are Unforgivable in New Single “Incinerate”

Italian heavyweights Despite Exile are back on track after kicking off the single in March with “Venom”, and today have teamed up with Scott Kennedy of Bleed From Within to release “Incinerate”. Check the release here.

Technicality, brutality and catchiness seem to be the keywords for the new jam the band has brought. Vocals have never sounded better, instrumentation has never sounded tighter, and the addition of powerhouse Scott of Bleed From Within doesn’t hurt either: between him and Jei (vocals), the track unleashes a force that’s hard to ignore, and make sure it finds its way into your playlists.
