Eric Francis Releases Quarantine-Made LP “Under A Fake Sky”
Creating a deliberate sense of “musical whiplash” in his sound, Eric Francis uses a contrast between light and heavy elements in his writing. “Under A Fake Sky” was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic from March – July, and was created entirely by Francis in his home while in quarantine. Lyrically, the LP tells the story of his personal experiences during quarantine, and how he was handling isolation, current events, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today the Squirrel Nut Zippers release “Train On Fire,” the second track from their forthcoming album Lost Songs of Doc Souchon (Out September 25th).
The track features violin and backup vocals from Andrew Bird. It’s Bird’s first appearance on a Zippers album since 1998’s Perennial Favorites.

Boston-based stoner rock supergroup KIND (with current and former Elder, Black Pyramid and Roadsaw members) share the new single taken from their sophomore album ‘Mental Nudge’, due out September 11th on Ripple Music.
“Faster Number Two” is built on a proto-Stooges riff and is one of the more upbeat songs on ‘Mental Nudge’. The title is the follow-up to the song “Faster Number One” from their debut album ‘Rocket Science’. Vocalist Craig Riggs says: “Faster Number Two is a song about the greatest party in the world. Pop punk band Give Me A Reason are back to piss off your ex
Last month, Swiss pop punk quartet Give Me A Reason released a pink-hued music video called “Sad,” shot in the Supercandy Pop-Up Museum in Germany. Today, they return with the follow-up “Funny,” shot in the same location, with both videos filmed in one extreme 17-hour session.
“If you’re my home, I’m burning down my own house!,” belts vocalist Mattia Di Paolo on the break-up track. “It’s about a relationship with someone who doesn’t treat you like you deserve,” explains Mattia.

Rapt is the alias of Jacob Ware, a musician based in Brighton, England. After 8 years of involvement in the extreme metal scene and co-founding the death metal band Enslavement, Rapt is an exploration of his other musical passions.
Spanning slowcore, folk, shoegaze, ambient and electronic music, the moniker’s name is intended to be fluid and loose, allowing the project to explore a range of genres. The blog Tome to the Weather Machine succinctly described Rapt as ‘Categorically Autumnal Music’.
