DAMM – How the music video ‘Silence’ became a very personal story

We are proud to present the new video for the single “Silence” by DAMM which was released on 24.07.2020. The video clip ‘Silence’ is about trying to stay in the moment, withdrawing from the world or a certain situations for a matter of time. To find inner silence within yourself and to listen to your deepest feelings.

To quote DAMM on her inspiration behind ‘Silence’: “Whilst being in lockdown the noise stopped and made place for an overwhelming silence. I had to capture the feeling of withdrawing myself from the world in a new track, which would remind me of staying true to myself.”

“It’s not strictly about suicide, but that’s what we had in mind,” Crouse shared with Rolling Stone. “People hitting low points and letting those thoughts get the best of them. People get this weird perception that musicians, actors, athletes…they all have it together and life is perfect. But one thing everyone shares in common is we all get down.”

Fronted by prolific record producer Brian McTernan (Turnstile, Thrice, Hot Water Music), Be Well marks McTernan’s unexpected, but welcomed return to the other side of the glass.
