Supergroup The Wheelblocks (Feat. Members of Fozzy, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice Cooper, Ex-Machinehead) Release Cover of Iron Maiden’s “Aces High”
“Once again in the middle of a pandemic, I had the honor of getting together with some amazing musicians to play a cover of one of my favorite band’s best songs!” exclaims The Wheelblocks singer Chris Jericho. “‘Aces High’ is not only one of the hardest vocals I’ve ever had the pleasure of singing in a studio, they were even harder to record while I was flying a fighter plane! As a result, I think the power (slave) of this song fits perfectly into the hard rock world of today and I’m excited to see ‘Aces High’ fly as high up the charts as the protagonist of the song itself! So head up the runway, let off a shot burst and UP THE WHEELBLOCKS!”

We went in on the production and turned it into a whole new record :)”

Rising artist and LA-based singer-songwriter Annika Rose has released her new single “Butterflies” today via TaP Records. Annika teamed up with Erik Hassle (Rihanna, TV On The Radio) and Tim Randolph (Imagine Dragons, Whethan) to write and produce the new single. Inspired by a late-night conversation with a friend about the pressures of their futures and the transition from adolescence to adulthood, Annika shares, “I found myself reflecting deeply on childhood naivety and the freedom from the realities of the world and growing up, back to what often feels like a simpler time. Catching butterflies is a metaphor for that lost innocence and purity of life when we’re young. Especially lately, the intensity of this feeling has grown with everything happening in the world and I want to use this song and my music to connect with others who may be feeling a similar way.”
“‘MUACK’ describes the courage, adrenaline, and confidence that comes with saying ‘no’ to a toxic relationship. Breaking free from the chains [of love] and doing what you want which rushes blood to your head…but freedom is a double-edged sword if you don’t make the right moves. ‘Kiss on the cheek so it doesn’t hurt anymore’ a healthy way to say goodbye to toxic love,” affirms AQUIHAYAQUIHAY.

It’s been a long 16 years for fans of the pop punk band Ultimate Fakebook to release new music. And boy, it was worth the wait. The band is back with a comical new video for their song “After Hours at Melin’s,”
The video finds the band on a low-budget talk show, with the host, played by Curtis Rainsberry, referring to them as the “Ultimate Facebookers,” ironic for the fact that when these guys last released music, Facebook wasn’t really a thing – it was all about Myspace. As the three members of the Kansas-based band field questions from the host, bassist Nick Colby disguised to look a bit like Hulk Hogan, rips off a killer keyboard solo in a demonstration of the talk show’s musical capabilities. Then, the band rips into the song on the talk show’s tiny makeshift stage.

NY’S CHARLOTTE ROSE BENJAMIN RELEASES PARTY CITY SOLO EPVIA NEON GOLD RECORDS + BLACKBOOK PREMIERES “CURSED”
Charlotte Rose says: “I spent most of my time during the lockdown at my parents house on Martha’s Vineyard where I grew up. All I’ve wanted to do is watch movies I’ve already seen before and listen to songs I already know all the words to. It’s like comfort food. It’s been cool to revisit songs from the EP in the same way. I wrote these songs alone, and I’ve played them more on stage by myself than with a full band. In a lot of ways they sound more familiar to me this way. There’s an element of loneliness in everything I write, and I think that really comes through when the melodies are laid bare like this.”

THE CORONAS – “Cold” is getting hotter by the hour!
The Coronas’ 13-year journey has definitely been unique.
