According to the band, “This is our first acoustic piece that we’ve ever recorded, and it’s a real achievement for us. We’ve wanted to record one of our songs as an acoustic version for years, and this time, we found a way to do it. After working on the acoustic arrangement, we wanted to give it more substance, so we invited our good friend Eddy Kaiser, who leads a dark/folk solo project, to collaborate with us on the song.”

Andrew McMahon Releases New Song “Get On My Wave” – Prod. By King Tuff

“I wrote and produced “Get On My Wave” with Kyle “King Tuff” Thomas the day we met last summer. I’ve struggled with releasing the song during the pandemic because it felt too happy; detached from the tumult of our current world. Lately it’s been making more sense to me. It’s a song about love and alienation and how in a world where things can look perfect on the surface there are always currents running beneath and tides which push and pull at the shore. It’s about finding your people and acknowledging your relationship with those forces outside of your control and saying, “let’s ride this out together.”” – Andrew McMahon

That mindset has helped me to focus but also left me feeling quite lonely at times. A human being can become lonely so easily. Ella Vos’ second album Turbulence out now, shares “Dreaming, backwards” lyric video

“Turbulence is an album about surviving and thriving through the ups and downs of life,” Vos says. “It was written in the wake of my divorce, while I was suffering from severe chronic depression as well as still waiting to go into remission from lymphoma. It’s been a turbulent couple years to say the least, and it seems like each obstacle is trying to teach me the same thing: to live in this moment, to love myself without guilt, and to embrace change. This album has moments of honest realization, personal affirmations, admission of my weaknesses, and finding freedom. It’s far from a breakup album—it’s an album of renewal.”
