ARO (Aimée Osbourne) Shares “Something” Video Via RollingStone
Today ARO, a.k.a. Aimée Osbourne shared their latest video “Shared Something With The Night.” The video premiered exclusively with RollingStone praising, “The video shows off a duskier, more dramatic side to her aesthetic — especially the shadowy video that shows her singing the song in a church while her masked band rocks out in the dark.”
On the track Aimée Osbourne describes, “The song is like a My Bloody Valentine lullaby for the romantically tormented that struggle to sleep at night. I wrote it when I was living in New York and feeling pretty alone and lost. I hadn’t fully connected with who I really was and what that meant yet. Hung up on the outcome of someone else’s approval of me to determine my own self-worth. This weird little song was an outlet for a lot of uncomfortability at the time.”
Today, Hardly Art’s Lala Lala and Basement’s Basement’s Baths have released “€ € € €^^%%!!!!!heaven!!!!!!”, a new single they co-wrote and produced. It is available now worldwide on all major streaming platforms, and as a limited edition clear flexi disc on Hardylart.com, Bandcamp, and Lala Lala and Baths’ webstores. Proceeds from their first month of sales will be donated to charity–see below for more specifics.
The Bluegrass Situation premiered the track yesterday, and Sam explains the context of the song: “The two words life and death live under the same roof but if they were a texture or a rhythm they would be much different, both with their own groove. The content of this song sifts through my thoughts on life and death and present thought which weave in and out of the record. Strangest Thing is a gesture, like the tipping of one’s hat, prompting us to pull our eyes and minds out from behind the blindfold and remember what’s important.
Rapper ToBy Releases Hazy Summer Video for “Cascades” off THE OUTSIDE EP
Rapper/actor/writer ToBy is building on the hazy melancholia of the summer with his refreshing and tranquil video for “Cascades” from his latest EP, The Outside (released July 10, 2020 via Magnetic Moon). “Cascades” sees ToBy leaning into the graceful, dreamy, and melodic side of his vocal performance, making the track a comforting breath of relaxation before the end of the EP. Like many of ToBy’s tracks, it outlines personal truths and experiences, this time digging into relationships while referencing a love that is ever present although participation is on its way out the door.
Casper Sun releases surprise EP, sad summer
Earlier today, LA-based rapper/singer/producer Casper Sun announced a surprise EP, sad summer, and music video for its lead single “Tite Jams” out now.
“[Sad Summer] is both prophecy and, possibly, premonition, but what we get with ‘Tite Jams’ is that subtle confident smile in the middle of all of this mess that is the pandemic, protests, and an uncertain election… let this be your summer anthem,” Jammerzine writes in their review.
Dallas rapper SpaceMan Zack will “Control” us in new daunting single
After releasing his powerful debut album Wicked earlier this year, SpaceMan Zack is still on the grind with another gritty single — “Control”.
Beginning with guitar strums straight out of a Western movie, the song eventually drifts into a hard-hitting beat and SpaceMan Zack’s eerie lyrics. His haunting vocals are so emotionally packed that listeners can almost feel his struggle of controlling himself and his demons. Using a blend of hip-hop and alternative sounds, the song packs a lot of punch in such a small time frame.
Oakland trio Low Praise (feat. members of The Valley Arena) release new single “Angela” today, an ode to Greta Thunberg!

NGHTMRE and SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations is leaning on RIOT for their latest release, “Herbivore.”
Announcing itself through thunderous chords that ring out atop a slick broken beat and smooth vocalizations, RIOT’s new single may seem innocuous at first glance—but first impressions can sometimes be deceiving. The true tone quickly makes itself known as skittering drumlines and mind-altering acid licks are quickly added into the equation. But the real mayhem ensues once the rallying cry vocal comes into play, “Imma break shit // let the fucking beat rip.” Screeching synths relentlessly ground-and-pound while walls of low-end come smattering from above with vocal cues weaved cleverly between the thicket of bass.
Karolina Rose shares power-pop anthem “Runaway Angels”
“I wasn’t able to listen to the song for a long time because it would make me cry — I’d get really triggered by my own song. It was just this collective support that I wanted to transmit in the song — this collective pain but equally collective support. I feel like all of these primarily female victims — the angels — need the world’s support.”
I decided to release “Fort Concho Caliche”. It’s a mix of country and bluegrass, a genre that is very familiar within the southern US. This style of music is on the decline in favor of pop music. I hope that people will listen to it and get something out of it as it comes from a very sentimental place.

LA’s Indie Rock Trio BLAME BABY Share Lyric Video for New Single “Silhouette”
Says Johnson: “‘Silhouette’ is about incomplete relationships, the tense push and pull of secret lovers, and the phenomenon of explosive human chemistry. Embedded in the shoe-gaze-inspired tune is a structure that mirrors this tension and release. Tight staccato rhythms launching into soaring distorted guitars underpin a longing and lascivious dreamscape. ‘Silhouette’ is one of the most beautiful sounding words, all at once evoking feelings of fantasy and playfulness with mystery and darkness. For this very reason, the song began with the title and then it wrote itself.”

The song was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jason Livermore at the legendary Blasting Room (Rise Against, Descendents, NOFX) in Colorado. “Thread was the first track we wrote together after an extended hiatus. The overwhelming energy of the song and the ease in which it came together made us realize we had to continue writing music. single: SUBSTANCE ABUSE, “RABBIT HOLE”
Whether it’s a counterproductive ideology or a corrupt government or just your own self doubt, it’s about not being swayed by the favorable and unfavorable circumstances that we all find ourselves in, and not being influenced by immediate, short-term considerations of gain or loss. We’re honored to have our good friend Eric to rap on this track because he’s one of the dopest and most cerebral emcees out there, and he’s been with us since ground zero when we dropped our first underground tape many moons ago. Times have changed since then, but our approach to making exciting, thought provoking music hasn’t.”
