SERPENT OMEGA: Swedish Doom/Sludge Metal Unit Releases “Land Of Darkness” Video
Melding sludge, doom, metal, and crust into a unique and sordid brew, SERPENT OMEGA’s self-titled debut full-length sold out in a few short months back in 2013. Long-awaited sequel, appropriately titled II, was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden by guitarist Jonsson at Dark Prod Studios, mixed at Studio Humbucker by Robert Pehrsson (Runemagick, Death Breath, Robert Pehrsson’s Humbucker), and mastered by Magnus Lindberg Productions (Cult Of Luna). To suggest the final product is grotesquely heavy and good is an understatement. With II, the Stockholm-based quartet offers a perfect soundtrack to what may well be the end of the world as we know it. It’s all here: despair, hopelessness, fury, and perhaps a glimmer of bloody triumph and distant hope in the inevitability of a new beginning. The songs are a pile of bleak upon bleaker riffs that move from a slow and low crawl into d-beat and black metal territory with a smattering of NWOBHM in for good measure.

Brothertiger shares new single & video “Livin'”
Regarding the new LP announcement, John stated: “This record was, for me, the culmination of a lot of time and development. Since my last album was released 5 years ago, I had been building on top of that sound, trying to make it even more dynamic and distinct. This record is also my most personal, and I think that shows not only in the subject matter, but in the choice of sounds as well. I find that in electronic music, you can capture an emotion honestly with synthesized sound, not just with lyrics.”
Lindsay Ell launches Make You Movement inspired by new song “make you”
“Three years ago at a visit to help launch the music program at Youth For Tomorrow, I sat down in a conference room with a few girls aged 12-18 who had all been victims of rape or sex trafficking. I shared my story, they shared their stories, and I was so inspired. Walking out of that room that day I knew the time had come to share my story more widely, otherwise I would be denying myself an opportunity to connect and help other girls or boys, like those in that room. It’s a very difficult thing to do, but an incredibly necessary thing to talk about. We don’t realize how much this stuff is happening in our own community, and that is partly due to not discussing it.”

Set.fm brings instant monetization to livestream performances
As the live music and entertainment industries continue to grapple with the impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic, artists, bands and musicians have come to rely on live streaming platforms, services and apps to connect with their fans and to generate (or replace) lost revenues. Many of the popular live streaming platforms do not have built-in monetization features. With this being the case, artists are turning to the “tip jar” model via third-party payment solutions such as Venmo and PayPal to engage fans in commerce. In addition to tip jars, virtual ticketing platforms have emerged as a means for artists to include a fee for access to their live performance. However, there are no platforms dedicated to specifically monetizing the live audio gleaned from these streaming performances – except one: VNUE’s (OTC:VNUE) Set.fm.
Dolls ‘Eggshells’
Today they have released a video to accompany lead single ‘Eggshells’. Talking about the video Jade explains “Graham Humphrey designed the artwork for the Eggshells EP, we loved the artwork so much we thought it would be a great idea to get it animated for the video of the EP’s title track. One of my favourite things about the record is that inside there is a pullout card of two dress up dolls. It reminds me of my childhood and I think it is such a fun feature. I’m so glad that these two dolls get their time to shine in the video! We think Thomas Comery did an amazing job at making Graham’s artwork come to life.”
