MAD MAX Releases New Single and Lyric Video!
Whether it’s in music or in life: clarity is always the best argument if you want to convince people. Mad Max are musically unambiguous and have been for almost forty years! Pop artist, Nadia Vaeh has released a new lively single, “RiSE” featuring Hazel Rose just in time for Pride Month. “RiSE” is an upbeat and positive song about slowing down and being in the present moment due to the fast-paced environment surrounding our society. For the release of this song, Vaeh has aligned herself with the ‘Love Has No Labels’ campaign and will be donating proceeds of the single to the Human Rights Campaign. “I wrote ‘RiSE’ in hopes of helping to bridge or repair some of the gaps and barriers between our one human race,” she explains. “When I found ‘Love Has No Labels’, I immediately felt a connection with the organization and their message to the world.” “RiSE” is now available for streaming and download on digital music platforms worldwide.
AMBER RUN – ‘PHILOPHOBIA UNPLUGGED’
Today, Amber Run release their ‘Philophobia Unplugged’ EP, which is a collection of six breathtaking tracks recorded at London’s iconic RAK Studios. The tracks’ new form can be heard live in a unique, one-off set via a “pay-what-you-like” live stream from Omeara in London on July 19th.
The two young dudes at the center of girlfriends — Travis Mills (musical artist, Beats 1 Host, actor) and Nick Gross (Big Noise, Gross Labs, Find Your Grind) — have packed several lifetimes’ worth of success, heartbreak, and redemption into their first couple of decades on earth. Now, they are bringing it back to the start, with their debut single release, “California.” Produced by the legendary John Feldmann, the track is fueled by the caffeinated pop-punk style that first inspired them and pulls from influential artists like blink-182, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The 1975, Phoenix and All Time Low.
INSANITY ALERT Reveals Signature Skate Deck, Releases New Single, “Shredator”
Bonded by a beer drinkin’ and hellraisin’ pact of thrash and skate, the band pitched the idea of a skater version of the great 80s Schwarzenegger movie “The Predator” to Koloss Skateboards and the rest is history. The Shredator skate deck was designed by artist James Callahan, a.k.a Barf Comics, who also created the album artwork for INSANITY ALERT’s ‘Moshburger.’ The skateboard is available at Black Heaven Shop along with a limited edition white flexi vinyl and other INSANITY ALERT merchandise.
LOVE GHOST RELEASE THEIR GRUNGE INSPIRED SINGLE “OUTER SPACE”
Introspective Los Angeles based band Love Ghost has released their grunge-inspired single “Outer Space.” “When I was younger I would lay on our roof at night and look at the stars, thinking about escaping my problems,” lead singer and guitarist Finn Bell told Grimy Goods. “The vastness of space can humble and inspire you at the same time.” The song, like much of Bell’s songwriting, reflects and feeling like an outsider. This song is the follow up to their last single, “I’ll Be Fine” released for Mental Health Awareness month in May. The poignant track that mixed elements of trap and rock, had a powerful reaction from fans for its honesty and rawness garnering over 500K streams on Soundcloud with 500+ comments, over 1 Million views on Youtube with 1,000 comments and over 387K streams on Spotify.
Evening Hymns Shares ‘Heavy Nights’ Video

CLARA MAE IS “DRUNK ON EMOTIONS”
Swedish singer-songwriter Clara Mae has shared the title track off her highly-anticipated sophomore Drunk On Emotions EP – arriving August 28th via Big Beat Records. Insight Deliver Vintage 1990 Track “Get It”
The track originally comes from the Voice Of Thousands compilation released in 1990. “You have to remember we were teenagers when this was written, this was the ‘80s,” comments INSIGHT vocalist Mark Starr. “In the ‘80s, looking different always brought out people having to pass judgment. Thus the start of the song is, ‘Me and some friends just going for a walk, people pass by there’s a lot of talk.’ The song comes across as angry, but of course getting harassed daily tends to build up anger. Looking back, it seemed we were always running around in packs so we never felt threatened by anyone.”
Petty Family releases original demo of “You Don’t Know How It Feels”
The home recording premiered on Tom Petty Radio (channel 31) on SiriusXM yesterday, along with an exclusive interview with Adria Petty about the release.
The demo, recorded in his home studio, is stunning and intimate. The song, well known for the lyric “Let’s Get To The Point, and Let’s Roll Another Joint” has slightly different lyrics. It shows an insight to his writing process and introduces a line from another favorite Wildflowers track “Crawling Back To You” stating, “most things I worry about never happen anyway”.
KC Ortiz celebrates Pride with new single “Toasty”
Alabama raised, Chicago based, rapper, writer, and activist KC Ortiz returns today with the release of her new single and video “Toasty”. A song about resilience on a personal level to KC and a macro level to the LGBTQ+ community. The video directed by Jon Wes depicts Pride’s origins and features Ortiz celebrating the history of LGBTQ+ activism as alternating scenes from early Pride festivals, Stone Wall, and images of Marsha P. Johnson are juxtaposed on her. The video also pays tribute to early LGBTQ+ pioneers such as Audre Lorde, Barbara Gittings, Harvey Milk, Sylvia Riviera, James Baldwin, Gladys Bentley, and more.
Oakland trio Low Praise (feat. members of The Valley Arena) release new single and video for “Supermind”, out today!
Low Praise are an Oakland-based indie trio whose nervous energy and chanting hooks recall late-’70s post-punk acts such as The Fall and Wire. The band have issued a pair of EPs, Expectation(s) and Tanning Beds recorded by Andrew Oswald (Marbled Eye).
Formed in 2017 by Chris Stevens (vocals/guitar), Warren Woodward (vocals/baritone guitar), and Andrew Marcogliese (drums), the band honed its sound playing shows around the West Coast and demoing material out of the Oakland practice space they share with other East Bay fixtures. Low Praise recorded their first EP, Expectation(s), in the Summer or 2018 over two days, immediately self-releasing through their own Low Plays label without second guesses. Their newest EP, Tanning Beds found them exploring themes of shared anxiety and the persistent dread of modern life.

Day Sulan, the first signee from the joint venture label between YG’s 4Hunnid and Epic Records, delivers the music video for her boastful new anthem, “BIG,” featuring the hot ticket young rapper Rubi Rose. Brooklyn-based dream-pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Nicole Mercedes, shares her sophomore album, Look Out Where You’re Going, out today. Featuring previously released singles, “Stoop,” and “Filters,” the LP debuts six new tracks. A recent Sultan Room Live session on June 18 gave fans a sneak peek at the new songs, as did Mercedes’ performance on Channel 4 in Nashville’s “Today in Nashville” segment, where she performed “Thumbelina,” as well as first single, “Stoop.”
David Ramirez Shares Sultry New Single “Hell (ft. Sir Woman)”
For the introspective 10-song set, he teamed up with Dallas producer Jason Burt (Leon Bridges, Sarah Jaffe, Paul Cauthen) to layer his widely acclaimed vocals atop “misty psychedelic undertones and potent gospel arrangements” (NPR Music). My Love Is A Hurricane was originally meant to be a collection of love songs dedicated to Ramirez’s life-partner, but before it was finished, their relationship ended abruptly. The resulting collection now charts the tumultuous journey of falling in and out of love through sounds deeply influenced by R&B. Today, Ramirez is sharing a sultry new single from the record, “Hell (ft. Sir Woman),” with vocals from Kelsey Wilson (Sir Woman, Wild Child, Glorietta).
SUECO THE CHILD RELEASES “SMACKDOWN (FEAT. TOKYO’S REVENGE)”
RIAA-certified Gold singer/rapper/producer Sueco The Child has tapped rising rapper TOKYO’S REVENGE for the new banger “Smackdown” – available today at all DSPs and streaming services HERE via Atlantic Records. “I made this song and it’s pretty good hope you like it,” Sueco shared. Warner Music Canada / Atlantic Records recording artist CARYS has released her new single “No More.” The track, produced by Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Tyler Shaw) is the follow up to her breakout hit “Princesses Don’t Cry,” which garnered over 50 million streams around the world. “No More” arrives with an official video, directed remotely by Ryan Faist (bülow, Dizzy) and shot during self-isolation in CARYS childhood home, fittingly enough by her brother and aspiring film maker, Nicolas Mongillo.”

Mildlife Share Video For “Rare Air”
The video for “Rare Air” was filmed at the Dunmoochin Foundation, a breathtaking plot of land an hour outside of Melbourne whose aim is to nurture emerging and established artists and researchers. The foundation has been part of Mildlife’s bass player Tom Shanahan’s family for decades, and on Dunmoochin he explains: “In the 50’s Clifton Pugh (Australian artist and three-time winner of Australia’s Archibald Prize) purchased 15 acres of land in Cottlesbridge which he named ‘Dunmoochin’. Other artists then then came from the city to live and work on the site. One of these was my grandmother, Alma Shanahan who was a potter and sculptor. Her and Cliff were an item for a brief period there.“
