OVTLIER Premieres Official Music Video for “Buried Me Alive” on

“Buried Me Alive” is a personal favorite and great representation of Ovtlier. I chose to re-record Buried in 2019 (release in 2020) because I knew there was a lot of life left and it deserved to be heard. It was written by myself and Evan McKeever and produced by Justin “JD” de Blieck of Ice Nine Kills. It was a great experience to revisit a song from years ago only to see how much you grow as a musician and vocalist. It’s a test to oneself. Lyrically, the song is about my love for music but hate for the industry. It can almost take the love out of the art if you let it, chew you up and spit you out. Like life, we must roll with the punches and continue on” says Arena.

21-year-old pop singer BATHSHEBA shares incredible “Hit ‘N’ Run” video with Northern Transmissions

The song about unrequited love takes the listener on a journey of emotions: from vulnerability in the verses, to frustration in the pre-choruses and full-on girl power in the choruses. The variations in BATHSHEBA’s vocals are supported by a bass-driven production with a steady drum-beat, the coolness of which leads the listener to make associations to tracks such as Tove Lo’s ‘Cool Girl’. Although the lyrics of the song display all of BATHSHEBA’s self-doubt, the powerful top lines leaves the listener with a feeling, that BATHSHEBA will get through her heartbreak and come out on the other side stronger than ever – and help any girl in the same situation through her struggles as well.

L’Orange & Solemn Brigham Announce “Marlowe 2” (Plus Free Single)

Solemn Brigham works tracks like Mike Tyson works sparring partners – relentlessly. Luckily, L’Orange puts more moves in his beats than a Kevin Rooney training session. Singer/songwriter Olivia O’Brien keeps her unstoppable roll going with new music video for “Josslyn (Remix)” featuring rapper 24kGoldn. This is the first collaboration between two of the most promising rising artists which is poised to be an instant hit. As she always does, Olivia brings her glittering pop prowess to the track and shows just why she’s considered one of the finest songwriters around. Smokepurpp Throws Down At His House in “Chopstix” Video

Florida rapper Smokepurpp specializes in quick-hitting, bass-heavy party anthems. Coming through with a visual from his recent project Florida Jit, Purpp shares “Chopstix.” Produced by CBMIX (Lil Pump, Juice WRLD, Kanye West), “Chopstix” is a proudly uncouth slapper, as Purpp works a triplet cadence to brag about his life as a successful young rapper: “I’ll show you a thing, yeah, that we Benihana’s the way we keep chopsticks.” In the video, Purpp gathers Lil Mosey and several others in his L.A. mansion for a rager, as he dances on table tops and swishes some jump shots. Directed by DreVegas, “Chopsticks” follows last week’s eye-popping animated video for “Tide Pen” ft. Jack Harlow.

“”Last” to me, is a reflection on grief. I started this track with James a few years ago, and while writing it we noticed that we were hearing the lyric differently, I was hearing “you know you’re lost” whereas James was hearing “you know you last”. The duality of that truth resonated with me, as both meanings are applicable when someone leaves us. It has struck a more personal chord recently, as recently one of my dearest friends passed away very suddenly.” – Tourist

MainVest Statement on Great Scott from CEO, Nick Mathews

Today we were forwarded a letter from the legal counsel representing Oak Hill Properties LLC, the landlord of 1222 Commonwealth Avenue where Great Scott has been a Boston institution for over 40 years, saying that they have entered into an LOI with another tenant. MainVest requested an audience with Oak Hill through their legal counsel, which was denied.

From the beginning of the campaign, it was communicated that all applications for the space at 1222 Commonwealth Avenue would be considered. Our understanding is that Carl Lavin submitted an application in the first week of June, which was never acknowledged, discussed, or followed up on until the rejection letter was sent today. With nearly $200,000 raised from 500+ local investors voting with their wallets for the future of Great Scott and two months remaining on the campaign, we believe that the commercial viability of Great Scott assuming the lease aligns with the outpouring of market validation from the community.

Prepare to be “Paralyzed” by Billboard-featured Alt-Rock Artist/Brain Tumor Survivor, Darro’s Emotionally-Charged New Single

It’s not unusual for young artists to overcome hardship. In many cases, it’s character-building. But few will ever face obstacles quite as daunting as those that confronted Darro. While studying music in Spain, the pop-punk singer-songwriter was diagnosed with a serious brain tumor. After surgery, treatment, and an arduous recovery, he’s made it out the other side, and he’s singing and playing as exuberantly as he ever has. But an experience like that leaves indelible marks on a person’s psyche. Some artists might run from that, or try to obscure it; Darro, forthright as he is, is determined to use his platform to inspire others to stand up to the challenges that confront them.
