Lil Gotit Returns with the Black-And-White “Bricks In The Attic” Video
Bobbing and weaving through trap tracks with triplets and offbeat melodies, Lil Gotit is one of Atlanta’s most promising young voices. Welcoming us into his world of bricks and racks, the 20-year-old rapper shares “Bricks In The Attic,” a new music video. Produced by Kie Carson & DMC Global, “Bricks In The Attic” is a sinister slice of slime, as Gotit slithers through a sea of 808s with ever-shifting flows and ever-evolving boasts: “Went got a check and Off-White my whole team/F*ck all that talkin’, we sharpen your goatee/We trap out the Spur while holding Ginobli/Our money not the same, I’m having this goat cheese.” In the video, directed by Whipalo, Gotit stunts in stylish black-and-white, as he takes a chainsaw to a cash-filled mattress, mobs with his homies, and curses out the police. “Bricks In The Attic” is the introductory track from Hood Baby 2, Gotit’s recent mixtape.
Soundwalk Collective With Patti Smith Share New Track “Peradam”
Peradam takes as its entry point René Daumal’s early 1940s novel Mount Analogue: a Novel of Symbolically Authentic Non-Euclidean Adventures in Mountain Climbing, in which the French writer, critic and poet mapped a metaphysical journey to “the ultimate symbolic mountain” in search of meaning. In it, Daumal introduced the idea of the “peradam”, a rare, crystalline stone – harbouring profound truths – that is only visible to seekers on a true spiritual path. The band have shared a hypnotic video to the title track, directed by Stephan Crasneanscki and with editing and visual collage by Jenn Ruff.
