Indiana Jones, Terminator & More Star in Russian Indie Band, Apache Rose’s Video for New Single ‘Blind Spot’

Somewhat ironically combining sounds from the British Invasion of the Sixties and the Alternative guitar bands of the Nineties, Apache Rose are the Russian musical offensive we can all be joyful about! Built around the Muscovite engine of Ilya Novokhatskiy, Apache Rose is far from Russian interference, with the earworms of The Beatles and the raw swagger of The Strokes. Apache Rose’s latest single is Blind Spot, a ‘tribute’ to reckless taxi drivers worldwide and with an overarching theme of being careful not to put yourself in situations you can’t control.

BEANS ON TOAST – Releases A Damning New Protest Song

Yes. Like the deceptive “daily briefings” and fudged figures we’re expected to swallow, the title of Beans’ new single is deliberately misleading too.

A world away from fun and games of its usual day-to-day activities, the theme-park-turned-coronavirus-testing-centre in Surrey was recently exposed for its severe failings to return the critical results of patients and NHS staff. With many results returned to the wrong person or even lost completely, Beans uses ‘Chessington World of Adventures’ as a case study to exemplify the complete incompetence of the current government as they scramble to lie and cover their backs.

Treva Blomquist Announces New Album ‘Snakes & Saints’ Out July 31

Every so often, great songwriters will take a leap of faith, allowing the songs themselves to steer the ship. When longtime Americana-leaning artist Treva Blomquist started recording her new album Snakes & Saints, she learned firsthand the scary-but-rewarding process of letting go and giving the songs what they deserve—and the result is stunning. Available everywhere on July 31st, Snakes & Saints finds Blomquist, along with producers Nathan Johnson and J. Brandon Owens (ENJOYER), departing from her more traditional sound and exploring a musical world more akin to indie-pop, complete with lo-fi drum loops and polyphonic synth soundscapes; different, but never distracting from Blomquist’s heartfelt delivery of ten new original songs.

Norwegian rapper Ivan Ave shares “Hope/Nope” video with FLOOD Magazine

“The video for Hope/Nope came about right after the initial phase of self isolation here in Oslo. Mats, Thomas and I really wanted to get out of the house and create something, but we of course had to wait until restrictions were softened up enough. I think we brought that energy into the execution of Mats’ ideas. I think the song is a good fit with that energy. That restlessness combined with a dreamy slumber.”
