In the age of quarantine, UK-based singer SALT ASHES (real name Veiga Sanchez) too had to get creative for hew new music video. The result is a stunning, crimson-drenched visual for her song “counting crosses” (Taken from her new EP of the same name). The video, which premieres today via Substream Magazine, was shot and edited entirely in Salt Ashes’ bedroom on an iPhone with additional color grading done by Simon J Davy.

Victor Rice Drops New Single “Bebida” via Easy Star Records

In 2017, Latin GRAMMY award-winning producer, engineer, and musician Victor Rice released Smoke, his first solo album in over 15 years. The album was released on tastemaker indie label Easy Star Records and garnered critical praise and a cult-like following. Smoke was unique in how it presented Rice’s new sound combining the musical styles of Brazil and Jamaica by fusing Samba and Rocksteady, which he aptly calls “Samba-Rocksteady” or “SRS.” The momentum of that release has now spawned more brilliant music in that style.
