Reckless Kelly Share New Song “Lonesome On My Own”
Today, the Austin, TX-based country rock band Reckless Kelly have released “Lonesome On My Own” from their upcoming album American Girls (out May 22 alongside their album American Jackpot). The song will be available everywhere tomorrow but you can hear it now on Wide Open Country.
Taking influence from the likes of The Internet, Grimes and contemporaries Sassy 009, Oslo-based Jouska are the musical and artistic partnership of Marit Othilie Thorvik and Hans Olav Settem.
The Blinders have released a brand new track, ‘Lunatic (With A Loaded Gun’), which is taken from their upcoming album Fantasies Of A Stay At Home Psychopath, which is now scheduled to be released on July 17th via Modern Sky UK.
The track is fiery anthem of defiance and addresses the ascendance of money-grabbing despots like Trump, who are out to destroy the world for profit, and the guilt of the complicit societies that vote for them.
Belfast quartet Junk Drawer announce debut album ‘Ready For The House’, out via Irish indie label Art For Blind today. Channelling the likes of Pavement, Silver Jews, Beak> and more with their shapeshifting sound, the four-piece veer between slacker-rock, post-punk, krautrock and swirling psych across 7 sprawling, chaotic vignettes of personal malady and recovery.
An innovative, refined take on trance, ‘Stay’ pairs emotion-drenched euphoria with light, airy synths, creating a track that is both honest and restrained. It follows on from ‘Time To Lose’, last summer’s similarly stirring Hungry Music debut. Earlier this year Delacroix also remixed ‘Irani’, a single from fellow French artist Teho, and a track from Tinlicker for the iconic Anjunabeats imprint.
SG LEWIS RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE ‘CHEMICALS’
“‘Chemicals’ is about being convinced to try something new by someone you are infatuated with, and the emotions that follow.” says SG “It’s about feeling helpless knowing the control that person has over you, but knowing that deep down you love that fact. The song is written about one specific night out I experienced in London a while back. I started the song late one night in LA with Julian Bunetta, then Steph Jones helped us lyric the song the next day. Finally, Julian and I were working with Chad (Hugo, N*E*R*D/The Neptunes) the next week, and we got him to play the synth line you hear.”
Swedish-born and Berlin-based DJ and producer La Fleur drops her new EP ‘Ravenwaves’, out Friday 24th April via her own Power Plant Records imprint.
Her first release of the new decade, ‘Ravenwaves’ is a two-track release characterised by climactic, trance-indebted indie dance. Opening track ‘Stalker’ is a rousing, progressive house track that builds in intensity and atmospherics across its seven minutes. The EP’s title track then sees La Fleur reach for an emotion-tinged anthem led by soaring vocals.
German dance music legend Henrik Schwarz has remixed the Hosh & 1979 smash ‘Midnight (The Hanging Tree)’, out Friday 24th April.

Stonebwoy releases highly anticipated album ‘Anloga Junction’
Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy has dropped his expansive fourth studio album Anloga Junction, out today.
The album drop coincides with the official video release of lead single ‘Nominate’, featuring Grammy-winning R&B icon Keri Hilson – her first release in 10 years. Directed by Denzel Williams and styled exclusively by Tommy Hillfiger in the TommyxLewis collection, the video is set in NYC with Stonebwoy and Keri playing the roles of casting directors for a beauty pageant. Speaking on the collaboration, Keri explains: “I love the song we’ve done. I’ve always wanted to feel like this! Working with Stone was also a really nice surprise. Houston-raised, Los Angeles-based genre-bending artist Alaina Castillo unveils her new EP the voicenotes today. The 4-track EP includes previously released single “just a boy” and was created alongside her regular collaborator, Romans (Lewis Capaldi, Ella Mai, Demi Lovato, Khalid). The Spanish version of the EP is set for release on May 22nd, reflecting the bilingual nature of her music.
Robert Plant guitarist/co-writer Justin Adams releases new song
Today sees the release of “Endless Ocean” by award winning composer/musician Justin Adams via Good Deeds Music. All electronics and voices were performed by Adams.
