Anin Rose asks for “Freedom” with her new single

“Freedom is the most emotional song to perform live and makes me shiver every time I sing it. Since I wrote it I’ve been stuck and stuck again in the situation where I needed to let go of something, someone. So the song always has meaning for me.”

With her lead single “Freedom”, Anin tells the story of love and loss. A relationship that’s gone, but not forgotten. Her magnificent voice goes from soft tones to full on powerhouse whilst the swirling piano, played by Swedish Johannes Jaretag, underlines the rawness of her songwriting. The track is part of an acoustic project, recorded with string quartet and grand piano in collaboration with arranger Martin Batchelar (The Who, Cliff Richard). As co-director of the London International Gospel Choir, her compositions are also heavily shaped by the choral sound. Her EP, named after the lead single, will drop in June and is her most vulnerable release to date.
