DIRTY STREETS SHARE NEW SINGLE FROM THEIR LATEST LP “ROUGH AND TUMBLE” OUT JULY 31ST!
Scan the press on soul-groove outfit Dirty Streets and you’ll see numerous references to rock, soul, and dirty-blooze touchstones like the Faces, Humble Pie, Otis Redding, CCR and more. Spin Dirty Streets’ records and you’ll hear all of those echoes, plus others—some jazz timing, some acoustic balladry. But by and large, what you’ll hear is a raw, rowdy blend of Motown, Stax and rock—the pure American blood-beat moving through the heart of Memphis groove.

Drab City Share New Track “Troubled Girl”
Sounding a little like the Shangri-Las, perhaps, but only after being sampled by RZA and overlaid with a crushing drum break and the band’s otherworldly embellishments, “Troubled Girl” tells the story of a misunderstood and belittled teen girl’s angst and her dreams of escape. A remarkably fresh take on a classic pop song trope that sounds at once familiar and like nothing else.

ABYSMAL DAWN Release 3D Music Video for “Coerced Evolution”
ABYSMAL DAWN comments: “The basic idea behind the lyrics is that some time in the near future, human life on Earth will have become unsustainable. In turn, a certain portion of the population will forcibly have their consciousnesses uploaded to a grid in order to alleviate resources. The same corporations that would have destroyed the Earth, would run these grids and would continue to make a profit on what’s left of humanity in some fashion. The ruling class would continue to live in the real world and make the planet sustainable once again.”
