Mike Dillon Announces New Album ‘Rosewood’ Due July 17 – First Single “Hurt” Out Today
Mike Dillon has announced his new album ‘Rosewood’ will be released July 17 via Royal Potato Family. Recorded intermittently between January 2018 and September 2019, its 13 majestic tracks were created solely with vibraphone and percussion instruments. Dillon, in fact, titled the record ‘Rosewood’ for the type of lumber used to make marimba bars. The album’s first single “Hurt” is out today and pays tribute to the Johnny Cash arrangement of the classic Trent Reznor / Nine Inch Nails’ song.

Rafael Vigilantics is a writer, crooner and artist with an anomaly of an album out today. Known on the LA hip-hop scene for striking imagery and a penchant for evocative symbolism that blurs the lines between moody poetry and rap, Vigilantics shut himself in a closet in March 2020 and walked out as Old Villain. The album — which he wrote, played, sang and recorded all on his own — is a journey back to his roots in the mountains of rural New Mexico. His rustic desert tone is no more evident than in the track “Rag N’ Bone”, the DIY video for which was shot on his mother’s property in the Gila Wilderness.
