Nashville-based indie artist Maddie Medley has shared her debut EP, Coming of Age, Pt. 1. The three-song collection is available now on all DSPs.
The EP was heralded by first single “Buzz,” a rhapsodic meditation on love and self-discovery. The track is accompanied by a dreamy music video directed by Christopher Good (Waxahatchee, Mitski, Kevin Morby), which premiered via FLOOD Magazine and is streaming now on Medley’s official YouTube channel. Originally scheduled for March, the artist will hit the road with Brent Cobb this June for a string of rescheduled tour dates (tour itinerary below).
On the EP’s title track, Medley brings her purposeful introspection to a brilliantly slow-burning epic, each line electrified by her mesmerizing vocals. Produced by six-time Grammy Award-winner Dave Cobb, “Coming of Age” reflects on existential frustration, as well as the confusion that accompanies love while on the precipice of adulthood.
