Devils Kiss – Debut Single & Music Video – ‘At Least You Tried’

Describing the overall style as ‘melodic hard rock, metal’, Devil’s Kiss intrepidly draw on metal, blues, punk and rock, their tracks tackling the inevitable conflicts between freedom and failure, integrity and chaos, hope and loss.

Elle Bates’ incisively candid vocals are engaging, highly versatile and dynamic, with all vocals sung clean but emotional rawness reminiscent of PJ Harvey and Johnette Napolitano. The rhythm section of Amie JD on bass and Darren Gough on drums is tight and unified while still being warmly resonant, bold and articulate.

Once & Future Band Share “Andromeda” Via Brooklyn Vegan

Once & Future Band shared the story behind the single saying, “Andromeda is kind of a time traveling song, I first started writing it in 2004 when the band initially got together, struck by the line “will I wait this lonely lifetime” from I will by the Beatles…And felt like that seemed tragic, so I thought of a character who was willing but a little more bregrudging, like ok I’ll wait if I have to…we actually recorded the basics back during the last record at Phil Manley’s studio, I never liked the bridge so we just moved on, and when we went to record it for the new one In our practice space we just started replacing everything and we just kept the bass and drum tracks, from there I just constructed a new bridge from the old bass line and the song reached an angle of repose and just kind of fell together. Also if you listen closely to the quiet part you can hear me swatting a spider on my face, I missed.”

Alexander 23’s New Track And Video “Loving You Gets Hard” Out Now

“I thought about postponing the song release due to everything going on,” says Alexander. “But I think maintaining as much normalcy (while still being safe) as we can is something that we owe to ourselves and each other. Additionally, I think the message of the song really applies to what we are all going through right now: being there for people when things are easy is easy, but being there for people when things get hard is hard. It’s the latter that really defines a compassionate relationship.”

Holly Humberstone Reveals Brand New Single “Falling Asleep At The Wheel”

Speaking about the meaning behind “Falling Asleep At The Wheel”, its video and how they came together, Holly explains:

“The track is about losing momentum and feeling like your emotions will slowly destroy the relationship you’re in and you altogether. I think the dark, wonky sonics define who I am musically, which is why ‘Falling Asleep At The Wheel’ is such a milestone track for me, and has taught me so much about myself as a musician.

We created the video very close to my childhood home, which is where I also shot the video for Deep End. It’s completely out in the middle of nowhere, so thankfully no one noticed me floating along the road at 1am in the morning! It’s where I feel the most me and I love that so much is all coming from that one place.”

Tungz’ “Can’t We Just Be Friends Again” is a funk-pop tale of reconciliation

The day the EP dropped, was the day principal songwriters Nicky Green and Jamie Maier had to move from their Bristol home. With no tangible plans, the pair found themselves sofa surfing around London. Migratory and provisional, writing and recording was implemented in whatever temporary space they found themselves. Months of limbo passed until the day came to move into a place of their own; coincidentally and symbolically, the same day the band signed to label home Heist or Hit.
