Anticipation for “Pinky Ring” has been growing since last week, when NE-YO posted a short video clip with a snippet from the song. As Wikipedia notes, pinky rings have been popular throughout history, worn by a myriad of people for a variety of reasons – including ancient Egyptians, 20th century mobsters, engineering school grads, grifters, the British royal family and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In the Victorian era, men with wedding rings often wore them on the left pinky finger – but single men and women might also wear a band on the same finger to indicate a disinterest in marriage.

King Von Tells Another Crazy Story in the Tragicomic “Took Her To The O” Video

Delivering gripping narratives with an aggressively energetic flow, King Von effortlessly demands attention. Dramatizing another one of his street stories, Von shares “Took Her To The O,” a brand new music video. Over a sinister, piano-led drill beat from frequent collaborator Chopsquad DJ, Von vigorously tells the story of a seduction that goes wrong once another man enters the picture: “She left her phone, so I picked it up/This ho slow as f*ck/Nine missed calls, three of them from mom the other six say “Duck”/Now I look up, and I see a truck, it just pullin’ up/Someone hopped out, a big goofy n****, he tryna look tough.” Directed by Joan Pabon, the video finds Von recounting the story to a therapist, intercutting narrative scenes (cribbed directly from Von’s detailed lyrics) with shots of Von and his therapist getting down to DJ’s beat. “Took Her To The O” is the first single from LeVon James, the Chicago rapper’s upcoming project.

CHLOE MORIONDO SHARES NEW TRACK AND OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GHOST ADVENTURE SPIRIT ORB”

Moriondo commented on the track, stating, “Ghost Adventure Spirit Orb is inspired by my experiences dealing with mental illness in high school and the ways I cope with it. The song started off being about how I want to just be a disembodied orb captured on camera on one of those cheesy ghost-catching TV shows. I wanted it to show how a lot of my years in high school have been spent in a gooey daze with no motivation, so I used music and my spirit orb world to escape reality.”

Alpha Male is the third full-length album from Finland’s Stoner Kings. The album is peppered with potent, riff-laden material and prehistoric, strong rhythms. It’s music for the ‘alpha males’ out there in general, be it for fuel to pump up in the gym or tear down the highway on one’s chosen vehicle of choice at maximum speed. It’s equally the soundtrack to a good fight as it is the backdrop to the unfettered challenge – especially in modern times – for men in modern society to ‘man-up’.

Hi Frisco release new single ‘The War’ on February 25th

Speaking about ‘The War’ Henry explains “I started writing this song whilst trying to come to terms with a point in my life where there was a lot of change and no defined path of what to do or where to be for the first time in a long time. The overwhelming amount of creative freedom, the daydreamed abstract ideas, trying to hone it in to something that made some kind of sense, to us at least. The importance of making mistakes, the struggles of life, and all that comes with growing up builds to the outro, which swirls off into a serenity of almost helpless indifference to all that came before as the journey continues.”

The video comes ahead of the release of White Tail Falls’ debut EP, Fake News, out on March 6th.
