“‘Are You Listening?’ is about the information overload we receive on a daily basis, and the struggle to try and find some truth and meaning in it,” says twst. There’s a pressure to have strong opinions and present a certain image, but is anyone really listening and do they really give a fuck? It’s an angry, frustrated, helpless call out; inspired by fake news, climate change, consumption, internet addiction, misogyny; an apocalyptic feeling that’s kinda looming right now.”
Victoria’s debut was born out of necessity to process an abusive marriage. She wrote and produced the entire album. Prior to this collection of songs, Victoria had not played guitar, sang, used recording software, nor did she consider herself a songwriter.

“When I listen to albums, I like to listen to them start to finish. With Heartbreak Weather, I wanted to tell the story that was in my head, hopefully lead people down the storytelling lane of an album track listing versus just ‘I’m gonna skip to the next one,’” explains Horan. “I was trying to think how I could write a different album than the usual…I wanted to write songs from different sides or from someone else looking in.”

Recently the band announced a North American headline tour. The tour commences April 27 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, TX and wraps on June 11 at Atlanta’s Infinite Energy Center. They will also be at numerous festivals including Bonnaroo.
