Early James releases his debut album, Singing for My Supper, via Easy Eye and Nonesuch Records on March 13, 2020. The album spans hard-charging blues, wistful folk, and ages-old pop crooning, anchored by the singer’s voice that oscillates from gravel-gruff shout to a honey-smooth whisper. James’ inspirations run from Fiona Apple and Tom Waits to the Southern gothic poets, as heard in the album’s darker themes and in the wry humor with which he writes about them. Sorry Announce Debut Album 925, Out March 27
Today, North London’s Sorry have announced their hotly-anticipated debut record, 925, due out March 27 via Domino. The band have revealed the album’s tracklist, below, which includes previous single “Right Round The Clock”.
They also shared a new single, “More”, accompanied by a typically feverish visual by Sorry figurehead Asha Lorenz and frequent collaborator Jasper Cable-Alexander.
Yacht Rock Revue Releases New Single “Bad Tequila” – New Album out 2/21
The Atlanta-based Yacht Rock Revue has debuted their new single “Bad Tequila,” the third song released from YRR’s first album of original music HOT DADS in TIGHT JEANS (out February 21st). American Songwriter premiered the song and praised the album, saying “HOT DADS fuses everything YRR is in disco-rock funk beats and typical cheeky humor, all wrapped in old-school, radio countdown tracks.”
