Released right before the dawn of a new decade, “Dollar Signs” is the latest in a line of quality loose singles, including “Stashed In The Vent,” “Juggernaut,” also produced by Kappa, and “Started Actin’ Funny,” Mal’s bite-sized banger that inspired a video with appearances from BlocBoy JB and NLE Choppa.

Stream ‘Savana, Céline, Aya (Pt.2)’ & watch the new video –
With its shimmering synth and mellowed-out groove, the track smoothly captures the tension between chasing your passion and surrendering to love. “It’s about living in the city and working and grinding, then having this person come into your life and trying to decide what to do,” says Thompson. “It’s me asking, ‘Do I jump into this, or do I fight off those feelings and just keep doing my thing?’”
The new EP is a colorful, sparkling collection that reflects the duo’s growth and maturity as a band. “The songs are each little moonbeams in a digital format that we hope to share the light with others,” they say. “The name ‘Moonray’ came about while on a camping trip. We looked up and noticed how the moon carried the light and reflected down on us on the pathway we were on. Since then, our mission became to try to create songs that will bring a sense of joy and nostalgia while pulling out of the dark into light. Out of fear as you step into the night.”

Samantha Crain “An Echo” video out now
“An Echo’ was the song that got me to a point where I wanted to see where this album was going to take me,” Crain says of the track, “…I was in the throes of this heightened mental and emotional stress… [it] touches on issues within my family, which was kind of falling apart at that time; my health declining; my personal life being in shambles.”
Guy Keltner states about the song: “Walk Don’t Run is about losing your faith in God, or whatever you believe.
I think for some people it’s this country. You spend your whole life worrying about some unknown deity or higher power and you forget to spend some time figuring out who you are as a person. Living in Seattle and New York City, you see a lot of people get up, go to work, come home and have dinner, maybe watch Netflix or go the gym afterward, and repeat that on a daily basis. On the weekends they might party and then bitch about how shitty they feel all day on Monday. Watching that for the past few years really inspired me to write this song.”
MATOMA & PETEY SHARE “KEEP IT SIMPLE (FEAT WILDER WOODS)” ACOUSTIC VIDEO
“There are some voices in this world that just get right to your heart,” shares Matoma. “I really think it’s about the life and the story and the emotion behind the voice that delivers it like that, and Bear [Wilder Woods] is such an incredible person his voice is one in a million, it has been a dream of mine to work with him. Together with my friend Petey who co-produced with me we made this song with a message of trying to tune out all the complication and noise of life and focus on the simple things that matter most.”
“Human existence has been curated almost exclusively by men, for men. Ironically, as we once again enter the 20’s, this arrangement remains unbearably exhausting and catastrophic.
This song stems from a desire to stop pandering to people who don’t see the problem so we can finish smashing the patriarchy and move on to more important issues, like honoring the matriarchy.” – Calin Peters (The Ballroom Thieves)
