The song’s powerful, somber melodic undertones set the stage for Vext’s story of ruinous romantic and family relationships, steeped in addiction and self-desecration, that finds recovery possible for those who can stay the course. “This song was a unique opportunity to talk about addiction not only from the perspective of the addict but also from the perspective of their loved ones,” says Vext. “The message is very different from traditional songs that seem to always perpetuate a mentality of self victimization which is exactly the kind of misguided thinking that perpetuates the mental obsessive side of alcoholism & addiction.
COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM SHOW IN SUPPORT OF REFORM LA JAILS
To celebrate the release of their acclaimed new album, Everyday Life, Coldplay have announced a special, intimate show at the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, January 20.
The MLK Day concert will support Reform LA Jails, which campaigns for prison reform and advocates alternatives to incarceration.
The event will also feature performances by Compton hip hop artist Boogie and upcoming rapper Bobby Gonz. The guest speakers will be Patrisse Cullors, founder of Reform LA Jails and co-founder of Black Lives Matter Global Network, and actress America Ferrera, co-founder of Harness, which activates artists and activists to advance social justice.

Auto-tuned vocals travel through the perfect chain of plug-in compression and limiting and brightening and whitening. Perfect planks of digital bass tone are flown from section to section and the bridge hits at the moment deemed optimal by the algorithm. The album cover is photoshopped into the perfect marketing tool as dictated by expert analysis of research and data. The finished recording is subjected to maximum-volume mastering in an effort to win the volume wars. The band and cover photo get photoshopped into such bland perfection that no observer will ever feel compelled to stare for hours into its depth looking for stories. There are no stories to be found in there. The finished product is just that, a product, one from which all the humanity has been drained and replaced with a black hole of perfect nothingness and just kill me already.
Tamba Hali Releases New Video For “Pay Day” Today
Liberian-born recording artist and former Kansas City Linebacker, Tamba Hali, released the official video for the latest Relumae Records single “Payday” featuring and produced by Masterkraft. On “Pay Day,” Tamba’s rapping is assisted by Masterkraft’s singing and trap influenced production. Shot in Liberia, by liberian director Sesan, the video finds the two vibing together along the Liberian countryside. Premiered via LADYGUNN, “Pay Day” is the third single from Tamba’s upcoming project LIBERIA, a compilation featuring entirely Liberian artists, released via Relumae Records.

Regarding the single/video, Noah stated: “This song is sort of a reflection on the last year, nearing the end of 2019, I was questioning a few things. The video was done by a good friend of mine, Parker, he had this super 8 camera and we thought it’d be cool for him to shoot random stuff at an anime convention up in NYC.”

Axel Flóvent Makes US Live Debut
