UPON WINGS Drops Angelic New Christmas Song with 5X Grammy-Nominated Producer

Female-fronted rock and metal band UPON WINGS is getting into the spirit of the holidays and has released a brand new Christmas single as a free download.

The song features vocalist Anne Erickson, guitar work and production by Kevin Jardine (Uplift Productions) and mastering by five-time Grammy-nominated Glenn Brown (Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Marcus Miller, Nazareth, Spinal Tap).

At that time I bought my first Adidas Allround sneakers, let my hair grow and played the songs of my metal heroes on guitar”, recalls vocalist Jürgen Plangger, songwriter and producer Erik Damköhler was more of a synth-wave fan back then. “That’s how we came up with the idea of mixing our A Life Divided-style with the typical synth-sounds of the 80s. ‘Echoes’ as a result was something completely new: 13 songs that combine our dark alternative rock with the zeitgeist of the 80s”.

With Christmas being the most popular holiday in the U.S. and one of the most expensive – Americans are projected to spend up to $730 billion over the holiday season this year – the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2019’s Best Places for Christmas Celebrations as well as accompanying videos.

To help Americans celebrate Christmas without breaking the bank, WalletHub compared the 100 biggest cities across 33 key metrics. The data set ranges from Christmas events per capita to average price per Christmas party ticket to shopping centers and outlets per capita.
