Stillwater, NJ – Today, perineal roots-rock favorites Railroad Earth released “The Great Divide,” the first single from their new album, All For The Song, due out in 2020. Famously known for their genre-bending implementation of bluegrass instruments in non-traditional styles and arrangements, Railroad Earth—Todd Sheaffer (guitar), Tim Carbone (violin), John Skehan (mandolin), Carey Harmon (drums), and Andrew Altman (bass)—have always subscribed to the get-in-where-you-fit-in mentality. “We walk on either side of a line,” Skehan says. “The bluegrass influence is primarily in instrumentation—having a banjo, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, and guitar – but it’s still a rock band.”
Produced by the masterful Aaron Goldstein at Baldwin Street Sound, I wrote these songs through a period of immense – change signified by moving from a small town to a large city, change signified by heartache, and change signified in the recognition of the times before us.
Lead singer and guitarist Mads Baklien notes on the new single; “Running All The Way Home is a song about regret. You can’t undo what you’ve done. You can apologise to the people you’ve hurt all you want, you can promise to do better in the future, but it will not fix things. You will just have to wait it out and see what happens.”

Wished Bone, the folk project of Ashley Rhodus, began with borrowed instruments and broken tape machines in an Athens, Ohio basement called The Pseudio. Rhodus, plant biologist turned bartender, finds peace in viewing human behavior and emotion as organic and normal parts of nature; a flower opens up because it is meant to. Often accompanied by instrumentalist Wandering Lake, stripped down melodies float like a cloud atop Kupillas’ subtle drones, simple guitar licks, and clean drums.

A nod towards the 1960’s Beatle-mania and boy-band hysteria of that time, the audience is made up of devout Kuthi followers whose abstinence begins to waiver as the band’s performance builds momentum. That’s when a mystery guest is called in to cool things down, the antithesis to the ‘Nice Guys,’ President Donald Trump.
