Broen Share New Track “Dorian Grays” || New Album ‘Do You See The Falling Leaves?’ Due Out 10/18 On Bella Union

Speaking on the track, the band comment: “Inspired by the story in “The Portrait of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde and “Time Machine” by H.G. Wells, the tune explores the irony of human existence – the fact that even though history repeats itself we tend to make the same mistakes made by our predecessors. We have the opportunity to learn from history yet we cannot learn if we haven´t experienced the same and physically been through some events. Also our obsession of staying young and never aging. Dorian Gray was ignoring all his disturbing sides and had a desire to stay young and beautiful forever.”

Chris Orrick & The Lasso – “People” (New Single)

Cryptozoologist Chris Orrick died last March. The Detroit vocalist with the same name woke up and read the news of his namesake’s death. This sparked a journey into a subculture of folklore and undiscovered cryptid species. That seed grew over the months into a dark, industrial, and abstract record: I Read That I Was Dead.

Noël Wells (SNL, Master of None) Shares “Still Sleeping” Video

Noël Wells has shared a brand new video for “Still Sleeping” off of It’s So Nice; a stripped-down, folky lullaby. The visuals live in a quiet, contained space to match the sweet tone of the song, and subtly introduces elements of magical realism where we don’t know if the woman is awake or asleep; if it’s really happening or it’s a dream.

Mika Premieres New Video “Dear Jealousy”

“This album has been a rich and intense journey. Inspired by life in all its glory and all its dark challenges. It’s also inspired by love. Starting with an idea that was born in a cemetery in Savannah Georgia and ending the writing in a 650 yr old farm house in Italy. My intention was to write about life as it happened. A sort of album made in ‘real time,’” MIKA says. “It’s an explosion of joy, colour and emotion even though it was born in one of the most challenging periods for my family and I. Writing and recording this album was a form of medicine for me and my family. It is so deeply personal but also universal. I have come to realize that the only thing that matters in life are the people we love and the stories we tell. This album is dedicated to those people I love and to the notion that although we all hopefully grow with age, we should do so without losing our colors, our warmth or whimsy. I hope my “Tiny Love” stories somehow touch you or transport you, even just for an instant.”
